I've been doing LCHF just over two months now & must be doing something wrong Hunger & cravings have lessened. That is my one definite positive! But everything else..... Weight loss rate has been typical or slightly slower than previous attempts, no energy increase, no mental clarity increase, no sleep quality increase,…

I dip my spicy pork rinds in heated up white Jalapeno Mexican cheese after I add some additional hot sauce to it. They don't get soggy if you dip them and eat immediately. Very tasty! You could try mixing the nacho ingredients together beforehand and then dipping the pork rinds in it or spooning it on. That might work.

@Sunny_Bunny_ I think that's a great way to look at it. I definitely like what I've heard from people on this forum about MCT helping with mental clarity, memory, etc. Lord knows I could use it, lol! I think I am going to do something similar and try both to see how they work for me.

Here are some very interesting articles regarding Virgin coconut oil (VCO) & what they say are marketing ploys of MCT manufacturer's. I started researching to see what kind of MCT oil I wanted to get and ended up reading multiple articles relating to the subject. This is just a sampling of the articles but the gist is that…

I can't wait to get home and test this out myself! It will be great if my tolerance level has dropped o:)

I love my fitbit and it really helps keep me motivated to get my steps in. Also having my little Sister as one of my friends helps keep me motivated. I am not going to let her beat me, lol!

I am going to be try a lot of these pizza recipes when I'm home. I always used to eat a large Pappa John's pizza in one setting by myself along with an extra slice or two of my wife's pizza as well. Won't be doing that nonsense anymore.

This is a great group! I'm very glad I'm in it and I've learned so much. This has also become a new way of life for me and not just another "diet". My wife teases me sometimes and says it's like I've joined a cult, lol. She definitely gets it though.

My wife has been doing LCHF for about 2 1/2 months, but is starting to hate it. She said she's using it to reach a target weight. At least she's said she'll be more conscious of what she eats after this. I figure I'll just try to be supportive and hope she continues. When I get home I plan on preparing a bunch of the…

@SlimSonic I really like the message you have as your picture right now! That is such an awesome statement! And I agree with everyone..... mmmmmm bacon!!

I had 2 boiled eggs and 2 cream cheese packets as a late night snack last night. Before this WOE I would have had several protein/breakfast bars along with some cheerios and milk and still wouldn't have felt as satisfied.

Wife loves the hydro massage beds & has started using the tanning bed so she won't fry when we go to Grenada for 2 weeks (once I get home). And yeah, any gym I've ever been in expects you to wipe down a machine after you've sweated all over it. That's just common courtesy and definitely normal gym etiquette (even us…

Uh-oh, I didn't know about the lack of squat racks. That's a core part of my work out. I'm a gym rat but the wife isn't so wouldn't know to mention it to me. I don't really want to smell food while I'm working out either. I think my wife did mention something about it being dumb that they have unhealthy free food once a…

My wife enjoys going to PF and she is by no means a "gym" person. She says the no judgement zone is taken seriously and there are people of all fitness and skill levels in there. I AM a gym person and I think I will like it when I get home and have a chance to check it out. Mainly because people who slam weights around and…

The black truffle is usually used during cooking and the white truffle is usually a finishing one put on after the cooking is done. Most of the oils you find are going to have truffle "flavoring" added. Some think it taste great and other say it gives it a chemical taste. Most get the infused oil because it is less…

Be prepared for an absolute nightmare of a time coming off of that Effexor if you don't want to take man made drugs any more. I think it's good to come off of it if you don't need it anymore or can go to something milder. I know several who have gone off it and they were horribly miserable for weeks until it finally let go…

Nice!

I just wrote a note to myself so I wouldn't forget this combination and to remind myself to buy some truffle oil. It is so tasty and this sounds delicious! Thanks for the idea :)

Been many years since I've been but I do love Italy! Never been to Aviano. It looks wonderful.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. Of course I have to be using the worst one. Luckily I only use 1 scoop and that is usually only every 2 or 3 days. Guess I won't be getting anymore of that. Maybe they've cleaned up the chocolate muscle milk since this article was written. But probably not.

That's a beautiful area! Where is that? If you don't mind saying.

I fall into the Veteran group but can't really check out a local team at the moment since I'm in the Middle East, lol.

Thanks! Last questions (I think, lol), did you use the ISOPURE or the Hoosier Hill Farm Protein powder? And did you use the heavy whipping cream or the half and half?

I jumped in with both feet. I went from counting calories and trying to eat what I thought was healthy to staying under 20 g of carbs. I'm going on 6 weeks now. I logged my foods prior to eating just to make sure I was doing things right and adjusted MFP to get the percents I wanted to keep track of. Luckily I never had…

That looks amazing! Just to be sure, which recipe did you use. And, did you follow the recipe exactly? I'm so going to try making this once I get home.
-
Congratulations on keeping up with everyone! I also think you and your group are awesome for supporting veteran's!

I usually eat 3-5 times a day depending on how hungry I'm feeling. I'm only 5 weeks in now but I don't feel ravenous like I did when I was doing low fat "healthy" (sarcasm) dieting. I'm trying to pay more attention now to what my body tells me. I'm still in the learning process for sure.

@DittoDan Thanks, I was hoping you would pop in with some info because I've been reading your posts about fermenting. I'll have to wait until I'm back because sadly I cannot access you tube from here for the most part. @baconslave It didn't really say much about heat other than they're supposed to be dishwasher safe.…
