  • Oh, and my daughter would exercise with me when she was younger. She's harder on me than I am on myself (got to the point I would hide from her so we didn't have to exercise.....lol.) It's a great way for her to also learn to incorporate exercise into her daily routine and see it as a normal part of life.
  • I had a nurse tell me that the trick sometimes is to break up your workouts into 10 minute bites. Try 10 minutes in the morning of exercise before you hit the shower, put in 10 mins of walking or something active at lunch, and 10 minutes in the evening. It gets easier as the results start to show, and suddenly you find you…
  • I haven't run in a while due to some health issues but was finally cleared to run and ran for the first time in three months two days ago. I feel great. • Isn't it great when other people notice!!!
  • Ran a whole 1/4 mile without passing out. Not bad for someone who hasn't run for almost 6 months due to medical issues. Can't wait to make it a whole mile. #StillGotIt.

  • I just found this page http://www.calorieking.com. It keeps track of the calories you eat and then lets you know what exercises you can do, and how long you should do them for, in order to burn the calories you just ate. An example: After one refridgerated dough, chocolate chip cookie would need walk for 16 minutes, jog…
  • I lost my first 10lbs. doing a No carb, No sugar diet. It was a facebook challenge and we had to post what we were eating (pictures, etc) and we also had to share the exercises we had done. We were not to eat any fruit for 2 weeks as the sugar would induce cravings. People got really creative, and by the end of it all, we…
  • I went from 125 to 163. When I went up two stairs and had to stop to catch my breath I knew it was time to lose weight. The doctor told me I had to lose at least 40 pounds. I find that walking regularly and running has helped (the daily walk actually makes a huge difference). Keeping track of what i eat made me realize…

  • You can get 30 minutes of exercise done a day by doing 10 mins in the morning, 10 mins at lunchtime, and 10 mins in the evening. That is how i started losing weight (was 40 lbs overweight) and as the weight loss began to show, it got easier to keep moving. You are on the right path....you want to do something about it...so…
  • I think it is a little disturbing that he is insecure about you with other men, has an opinion about what you wear, and is concerned about you going out. These are all serious red flags and reflect an underlying problem. Counseling is definitely advised so that you both can address what is really going on with him. It may…
  • I once gave up sugar and sodas cold turkey. My skin ended up looking flawless and I lost the belly fat rapidly. Once you get going, and see the results, it's so easy to keep it up. The compliments from random strangers help reinforce why you want to keep doing it.
  • AWESOME job!!! Thanks for sharing.
