Yes, it's a good brand.

Curiosity is its own reward. Don't impute any anxiety or stress on my behalf that doesn't exist. I'm merely wondering. I like information. For someone who is very, very well read and researched on your areas of nutritional interest, it's a bit odd that you're chastising me for asking a question about mine.

I'm very much all about the long term results, and have the long term data to make a 2kg jump lasting multiple days enough of an anomaly to make me wonder if the one thing I have changed in the last week is causing it.

I wanted to start planting my autumn garden but my summer garden has lost its mind. My cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant and tromboncino plants, which I assumed would be winding up by now, have gone crazy and are now producing at triple the rate they have done all summer. I'm up to my ears!! My autumn garden theory is that…

I don't pre-cook them, I just toss them through the hot sauce in a pan for a moment. They stay nice and firm :)

Where do all the bites and nibbles come from? Honestly, I think the way is to pack your own lunch, log it in advance, and stick to it. If having grab and go snacks is the best way to keep you fuels, pre-prep that. I have a fab little bento box that I fill with veggie sticks, single portion dips, olives, cheese cubes, small…

Yeah, I'm wondering if it's the higher calorie days, though they really haven't been extreme, and nothing I've not done before. No TOM for me, thankfully haha. I was wondering if it was the collagen because it reckons it plumps up skin (I'm taking it for hair, nails and general repair), and of the three supplements it's…

Hello March!! Steps for the week: Sunday: 28828 Monday: 13563 Tuesday: 13910 Wednesday: 10646 Thursday: 12190 Friday: 14000 Saturday: 30953 2 huge walks in there, I'm pushing them out to get ready for the 25km walk in about 2 and a half months. I'm pretty confident :) So frustrated with the scale though, I've jumped 2kg…

1. Gaining muscle requires eating at a surplus. You can gain any significant muscle and lose fat at the same time. 2. Where you see vein popping muscle people, that's a moment in time, they do not look like that all the time, it's after a few days of strenuous competition prep.

Oh honey that's WAY too fast!! You need to eat more or you're going to crash and burn and make yourself sick!

There is thread after thread along for this, going back literally years. It really doesn't seem to matter how often it's requested.

Hey, congrats on the sobriety! That's awesome! It's not unusual to gain some weight after quitting alcohol, as we tend to address some cravings with food, and also start eating more good food rather than empty alcohol calories. I say baby steps and be very kind to yourself, you're already doing one kick-butt task you don't…

As Lietchi says, your exercise calories burnt are on top of the calories that your body burns just existing. I'm 5'4, 199lbs, 45 and female and the calories burned by my body to keep me alive if I were in a coma are around 1540. Add to that my exercise cals of about 750 a day, and I need around 2290 to maintain. I eat…

Log everything. Absolutely everything. Over time you can slack off on that a bit (I still log everything, but I'm a bit loose with amounts for non-starchy veg, pickles, low calorie condiments etc), but when you start it's the only way to get a true idea of how much you're eating, what needs to be tweaked, and it's a great…

Hi Lucy, welcome! As Ann says, there's some really good groups and challenges, I joined this one a few months ago and it's been great. It's the start of the new month, so the perfect time to join :) https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10933554/registration-for-new-members-march-2025#latest

You can also search your own recipes in the Android app by going to the Recipes, Meals & Foods section, there's a search bar at the top.

Hurt? no. It can be uncomfortable for some, if you're getting really hungry. It's also not neccesary.

Nope, you're not missing it. There isn't one. People have been asking for one for years.

This is what I've always done. I work from home and have a desk job, so I'm sedentary (in my view). The 10000+ steps I do, and the multiple classes I do (pilates, TKD) a week are exercise I allow to be added to my base calories by the exercise adjustments. The way I look at it is that I pick the activity level that I would…

You've got some really good advice above about the health issues and practicalities of losing weight, but I also want to add an aesthetic view... straining yourself to lose weight in a short period of time for a proposal or a wedding so you look good in pics might seem like a good idea, but so often you end up with the…

I changed mine to 40 protein/30/30 carbs and fat. Not because I'm low carbing, but because I don't really love carbs (aside from really sugary ones) and I love meat. It makes me satisfied. Though I've been doing a bad job of following that of late.

You need to contact support, this community is just other users like you.

That's a pretty decent whack of protein, what's your protein goal?

My first thought is that if the app is telling you you will lose weight (which indicates that your calories logged are at a number which should have you losing weight), but you're gaining weight, then your logging is off and you're eating more than you're logging. How good/tight is your logging? Are you logging every bite?…

I'm going to be honest with you. It is REALLY frustrating to keep telling you the same thing over and over, and have you say the same things and not change anything. You know what you need to do. You have been given detailed, thoughtful advice that people have taken time out of their own lives to give you. My dad had a…

Those seem like really good steps, and the sooner you start doing them, the sooner you might see some positive results :) Honestly, doing that is a much, much better and healthier use of your energy than beating yourself up over and over. Self flagellation doesn't actually burn many calories!

It's sensible to ensure that there's nothing medically holding you back, that's for sure. It's true that medical issues can hinder weight loss. It can also be easy to blame a factor out of your control when maybe something in your control would be better addresses. As discussed above, you've been a little spotty in your…

Trying on clothes and having them not fit is a real kick in the pants (pardon the pun). It can be really demoralising, OR it can be motivating. So you know you have a goal of fitting those pants, then smaller pants. The important questions is - what are you doing about it? How has the last 4 days been for you? Have you had…

That still seems very high, it would put it up with water polo in the above table, BUT the above table is for people 125-185lbs, so if you are heavier than that it would stand to reason that your burn would be higher.

The posted of the PP being responded to has already had one of their 3 posts edited by staff for trying to recruit another poster to their dietitian services, I expect that explains what they're doing here and why the inflammatory post.
