  • I think this is exactly why there tends to be more "unsolicited" advice on MFP than otherwhere, because there's an assumption that if you're posting here, you're at least open to advice or discussion regarding your body/health/method etc
  • I'm on my way to Melbourne, Victoria for work, up at 3:50am and on a plane at 5:30am! I must admit, the puppy had conditioned me to get up early so it wasn't that painful. I'm really looking forward to it, today I'm catching up with an old mentee for coffee, and tonight I have a night to myself so I'm going to take a long…
  • Very very good point and details! I just had a look, and the calorie difference between 0 sugar wine and normal wine is really pretty negligible.
  • Haahaa yeah, i'm a bit of a wine snob, I must admit - as soon as a wine has a purpose other than tasting as amazing as possible, I'm immediately not keen.
  • Are you using the search function?
  • Raised beds and a bunch of pots and planters :)
  • @lauren_989 that sounds like a great spread! I planted my zucchini in spring and thought it was done by mid-summer, but it got a second wind and now I'm inundated! I'm planning my autumn garden now, golden beets, romaensco broccoli, mini cauliflower, silverbeet and broccolini are on the list.
  • It still has calories which need to be counted, same as any other alcoholic beverage. It's no different to having a mixed drink with zero calorie mixer etc. And still has the same issues if you are prone to them - making poorer food choices, being less inclined to get up and exercise etc if you have been drinking.
  • @ashleycarole86 Steps this week: Sunday 17951 Monday 7978 Tuesday 15208 Wednesday 12810 Thursday 11607 Friday 17586 Saturday 26442 I finally got back to my walks this week, with a big hike today.
  • You're going to need to give a lot more information if you want anything even vaguely like a useful answer. For starters - Age? Height? Current weight? Activity level? Have you tried filling in the set up questions for this site/app?
  • Interesting, I wonder if it's been tweaked, the article I read which delved into it was a few years back when it all first started being added to labels. Back then, your figs wouldn't have "added sugar" from the figs because they're the main ingredient, but figs added to say, an oatmeal sachet would. It doesn't appear…
  • @Gidgitgoescrzy so easy to do, nuts are so delicious but they're a calorie bomb!! @lauren_989 I'm glad your energy is coming back! Healing really takes it out of you. Sleep as much as you need until you're healed. I'm mostly back on track, but of course I have a good friend's birthday tonight that involves wine, dinner,…
  • The big issue with "added sugar" on labels is that, if you were to buy those pancakes already made, and they had a label, the sugar from the banana and dates would show up in the "added sugar" part of the label and get counted in the added sugar total anyway. A jar of honey? Label says 0 added sugar. A jar of peanut butter…
  • My first thought is always - how are you tracking your food? Weighing everything solid, measuring liquids? Making sure thew entries that you use in the database are correct? Tracking every bite? Usually the easiest answer to not losing weight is that you're eating more than you think. It's not the only answer, but it's the…
  • @Kali225 I'm so sorry to hear that, being sick on holiday is the WORST! I was sick in France too, I still get sad from thinking of the food I missed out on haha. @lauren_989 thank you again, you are such a wonderful support person. You are right, that weigh in is actually pretty darn good considering how my week was!
  • You're not going to get any answers here, this is a community forum full of other people who just use the app, like you. Per the staff, for assistance for something like this, either visit https://myfitnesspal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us or email directly to support@myfitnesspal.com

  • PW: 94.2kg CW: 94.4kg. The little voice in my head was telling me not to weigh because I am SORE and also bloated, but I joined this challenge for accountability, and accountability I will have!!
  • You can use the recipe builder to create the recipe and log it that way. My recipe box is one of my fav things about MFP!
  • Thank you @cleaneater80 and @lauren_989, I was kind to myself and managed to get through the day under calories, but with a good, varied spread of food and even a treat. I actively decided not to punish or restrict, but to just get back to how I intend to proceed. I find that if I go off track, getting that one day back on…
  • As others have said, not really clear on what you define as results, but you can eat "healthy" and still be eating at or over maintenance calories, and not lose weight, so if that's the result you're looking for, then calorie intake it what will define success. If you're looking to bulk, well, that's completely different…
  • Hi and welcome. I agree that binge eating isn't seen the same as more restrictive EDs, I think there's that stigma because it's seen as over-indulgence as compared to deprivation. It's seen as weakness and gluttony, and not the terrible negative punishment it really is. I have struggled with binging for most of my life,…
  • For me, in the middle. I'm not doing sweatpants, but I am buying pieces that have give in them and will fit for a good couple sizes. I avoid linen and non-stretch denim, and go for things with some stretch that will still flatter when I'm at the bigger end of their wearable scale, but will shrink with me as I lose. I hate…
  • ... would you like to tell us the weight you are and your goal, or are we just guessing?

  • If you've only just started weight lifting, you're very likely retaining fluid for muscle repair, and that will show up on the scale.
  • +1 to this. I do not pay much attention to my macros at all, but I prioritise proteins and veggies in my meals, and I'm not fond of the pasta/bread/rice carbs (my carb loves lie more on the sugar/junk side, so I avoid), and I'm not scared of fat (I have wrought iron pans, no non-stick, I use small amounts of butter or oils…
  • Hi all, I'm Al, I live in South Australia. I've been a yo-yo dieter all my life and in August last year was at my highest ever weight. Life was crazy and not in the fun way, and I needed to regain some control, so I got back on MFP and started eating largely whole foods and low to moderate carb. I'm now down over 60lbs. We…
  • This is pretty much how I eat! Not totally deliberately, as in I don't watch the clock for my eating window, but I have tea and water until around noon, have 2 bigger meals instead of 3, and have some chocolate with tea before bed. 60+lbs down in 6 months. I don't credit the "fasting", I credit finding a way of eating that…
  • Yeah, that would be a really good feature, people have been asking for it for a while. Recipe sharing would be so handy
  • Whether or not it's been diagnosed in the past, you need to see a professional now, Isabella. Your diary is a massively concerning ED red flag. You are abusing laxatives and have set your calorie goal at a starvation level.
  • Preferably, because cooking really only cooks off water, so the more you cook it, the less it weighs, but the stuff that has calories is still there.
