Why is it that people seem to think you have to be miserable to be successful… and why is it they're willing to pay so much money to be made miserable for the prospect of success??

@lauren_989 I'm sore but ok! Glutes are complaining and my thighs are making it hard to get up and down, but I'm MUCH better than I deserve to be, given that my training consisted of hikes (no running) and a couple of ParkRuns! I've never run a trail in my life until I decided to let loose on this one. I did have a…

Oh @MaddawgMadsen your post just hit me right in the chest. I could have written that. The gaslighting and lying was just heartbreaking, and it just went on and on. I am working on it in therapy and I'm learning that he wasn't primarily lying to me, he was lying to himself and I was collateral damage. I would get so angry…

Thank you!! I'm still buzzing, honestly. The arrows show the two high peaks we climbed and ran!

Will, I did it. 26.8km/16.6miles, 4 hours 50 minutes, 671m elevation gain, 23c/74f, rocky terrain in the outback. I ran around 1/3 of it, brisk hiked the rest. I am so freakin proud of myself.

How long does it take to get from my house to New Orleans? Well, where's your house? is it in Shreveport, or Pennsylvania? are you walking, driving, flying, riding a unicycle, only travelling on Sundays, stopping every 2 hours, driving straight through, going via Memphis, taking a detour to Amarillo, are you in a supercar…

I'm all about the dark chocolate and I recommend the thread Ann linked above! I recently posted in there about this utterly divine artisan dark chocolate with sour cherry and raspberry that was incredible.

It's a liability thing. That's a very low calorie goal, and while some people may be ok doing it under medical supervision, and only under medical supervision, there's a lot more people who will be wanting to do it on their own for super fast weightloss and would be encouraged to unhealthily low calorie intakes by seeing…

Well done!!

There's lots of entries for goats milk, you can choose one of them, or you can see if your farm had nutritional information and enter it as a new entry for your use.

LOL, well mine was 10,000. As you can see, I've been blasting that and should revise it! Set me at 12,000 and I'll see how I go :)

@Gidgitgoescrzy it's so exciting that you're back at the putting it together stage! I have a robot vac, you're right, it keeps the pet hair under control enough to significantly cut down on the vacuum needs. I cleaned out my wardrobe and need to take the stuff to be donated, but I'm pulling out a pair of pants that are too…

Hi Jennifer, I lost my husband in April 2025. It's a hell of a time. Take care of yourself.

Hello, I'm so glad you're wanting to work towards recovery. I hope you have good support (and if you have a team, they know you're wanting to use MFP?). The community cracks down pretty hard on pro-ED threads and posts and they get reported and removed pretty quick. I'm not sure about the groups, they used to be a lot less…

Ooh, I made a recipe the other day that was so good! 1 cup dry chickpeas, soaked overnight then boiled in chicken stock until cooked 1 zucchini cubed| 1 cup butternut cubed 1 red pepper cubed Toss the veg in 2tsp cumin, 1 tsp all spice, 1/2 tsp salt and 2tsp olive oil and bake until browned Toss together with the chickpeas…

Hi Nina, I just felt drawn to say hi, I'm 45 and I lost my husband suddenly about 6 weeks ago. I completely understand the crushing sadness. I'm a bit the opposite with eating, I've gotten a bit too controlling over what and how I eat, but that's because of a long history of binge eating due to emotions and mental health,…

I find something similar from somewhere that does have info, or I just pick an entry out of the database, usually erring on the higher side. I figure one meal didn't get me where I was and won't put me back

Have they had MFP for a long time? In some places, people who had MFP before scanning became a premium feature still get it for free, while accounts created after it became a premium feature don't have access without premium.

I had to google is too, I'd never heard of it! But it was one of the most luscious chocolates I've ever had.

So lovely friends sent me a care hamper a few weeks ago, and it had chocolate in it - one with 2 small bars of Loco Love - Probiotic Chocolate Black Cherry & Raspberry with Schisandra. I thought "OK, that sounds a bit woowoo. O M G It was so so good. The cherries were so tart, and it was just divine. Im resisting googling…

I'm so sorry for your troubles, the uncertainty is so hard. I'm grieving, I lost my husband 6 weeks ago today. And I just want to say - if you need to walk and cry, do it. Who cares what people think. I hike and cry, walk the dog and cry, walk on the beach and cry…

I gave up on breakfast foods as a concept ages ago and I'm happier for it. In this cooler weather, I'm fond of soup for breakfast. It's warming, easy, sneaks in a bunch of veg and I can transport it if need be.

Oh, definitely not implying any kind of a conspiracy, I've worked in government haha. Every time I see someone posture a government cover up, I remember the clusterfeck of trying to organise something as straightforward as a fundraiser morning tea. I mean more like it's lip service, or as you say a bowing to public…

I completely agree with you Ann. I haven't delved into it as much as you have, and I admit I come from a place of educated privilege but I don't actually need a label or MFP to warn me that a product I'm consuming has high levels of sugar, added or not, and to avoid products that do. I eat very largely whole foods (and I'm…

PW: 84.4kg CW 84.5kg I've not been that great with eating this week, but I also did my first PT session in a year yesterday and I have DOMS, so I'm hoping that some of that is water weight.

What's next in the regulatory world for food labels: Demand to break added sugars down by mono-, oligo-, poly- and dissaccharides, or list fructose separately because it's extra evil, or . . . ? LOL, apparently: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/48066975/#Comment_48066975

How long has your wife been a member, and what country are you from? Scanning is a premium feature, but it seems like in some countries, people who have been members since before it was changed to be a premium feature still get it for free.
