Is the weight you have entered into the app correct?

Haaha thank you! Honestly, I'd love to give tips, but my weight loss has been the effect of controlling the one thing that was controllable in a sea of turmoil and trauma. I guess that's the tip - when all is crazy and out of control, one thing you can still control is what goes in your mouth!

From the Oh Snap website, I'm guessing, you can then copy the link of the recipe into the MFP recipe builder and it will do its best ti import the ingredients. You'll need to check them carefully first, it's pretty fallible.

I think that food can be one of the biggest head*kittens* there is, because it's so talked about, stigmatised, shamed, judged, revered, worshipped, glorified, commodified, celebrated, commercialised… every 3rd store front is a food shop, every 2nd commercial is for food, every holiday centres around what's being served,…

I'm Al, I'm 45 and live in Australia. I recently lost my husband, and now it's just me with my 2 dogs and cat. One of my dogs is a 7 month puppy, extremely high energy, and he gets me out of bed every day and keeps me moving. April was a horrible month and I lost a bunch of weight through stress, not good habits. I did…

You're looking at way too small a time period. Could be water weight, hormones, change in temperature, change in exercise. What it's very unlikely to be is muscle - building muscle, especially in a calorie deficit, is hard work and takes time. You had a month of losses and now you've had a short blip because weight loss…

@strong_fit_ells cutting back on the wine is a huge achievement! If you're like me, the weight loss will follow along after. I hope they work out what's wrong with your husband, worrying about them is so draining. @cleaneater80 congratulations!! Happy summer vacay!

It feels uncharitable to say so, but when I see posts like this just randomly dropped into the middle of the community like a tantrum, I can see how the OP managed to subscribe to something and then not cancel before the autorenewal.

I have the Free version and I can see how many grams of each I'm having per day. Premium only lets you set a target by gram (instead of by percentage as free does). Both versions let you see how many grams you've had, however.

That seems very, very low - I'm the same height as you and that would be underweight for me. I didn't know MFP suggested goal weights, where did you calculate that?

Not very accurate how, exactly? What are you looking for it to track and report? It's a pretty simple tool at its heart, it's a big database of foods, with varying accuracy, but if you are weighing or measuring your food and using reliable database entries, it will be pretty accurate. You can adjust your macro goals to…

I'm a regular user of social media (Facebook, Threads, previously Twitter before it became a cesspit of Nazis) but I don't really consume "content". I used FB to stay in contact with far-flung family and friends, but mostly for the groups - community groups, a couple of Whole30 groups, and recently a younger widows group.…

Hi, good luck with your challenge! Just FYI, you get better results keeping your communication to one thread, and it's actually against the community rules to post the same thing multiple times in different areas :) all the best!

Well, sugar is a carb, so to lower both, you lower carbs, which means upping protein and/or fat. I tend to eat lower carb, which means I don't regularly eat bread, rice, pasta, cereals or sugary foods. I eat very few potatoes and have non-starchy veg instead, I have zoodles instead of noodles, have my stirfrys with double…

Hi Waistaways. Woo to the win! Not the best circumstances, but I'll take it, I suppose haha. I'm back at work today, I WFH so it's not too jarring, but it's still odd. A little too normal, really. It does mean I need to start getting back into a routine. I have been bouncing around like the ball in a pinball machine, and…

Hahaa so cheeky! I thought you were going to say that they counted "cheeseburger, cheeseburger without pickles, cheeseburger without onions, cheeseburger without pickles and onions" etc etc all as different combos.

I found success when I gave up on motivation. Motivation is a positive emotion, and it is fickle. It requires energy and it tends to wane in times of challenge. Instead, I went for determination and resignation. I took being healthy, eating well, exercising, and put them into my "must do" pile instead of my "motivated to"…

It's annoying that it needs a workaround, but one is to search the recipe in your app, edit it to change an ingredient and save (you can even change the ingredient you want to use in your copied, altered recipe). This will then bring that recipe to the top of your recipe box on the website version, meaning you don't have…

Got one!

I'm such a food snob, I have to admit I'm laughing at how anglicised those 2 recipes need to be to be calling for tablespoons of white sugar haha.

I'm intrigued as to what these recipes are…

And…new one on me, to eat 200 cals every 2 hrs. Said body burns/uses 200 calories every 2 hours and anything eaten beyond 200 cals gets stored as fat. LOL… That's definitely a new one. Things like this blow my mind - do people who believe stuff like this just literally never look around? How do they explain the millions of…

Is this something you are finding in the food database? If so, there's no attached recipe, it's likely a food someone else has created either from a recipe of their own or from the details of a restaurant or shop. Maybe you can google the name and see what recipes come up?

Do check the entries you use against the label of the product you're logging, or a reliable database like the USDA! So many people choose (of the many, many options for every product) the most attractive (ie lowest calorie) one and wonder why their losses don't match their tracking. The database is user sourced, by and…

I plan and track my before bed snack in advance, usually good quality dark chocolate because I can stop more easily and find it more satisfying. If it makes you happy, make it fit your plan!
