That's very exciting to hear ClutchBone, other than missing a bit of chocolate it sounds like things are going really well. I am finishing up day 6 of being back where I needed to be. Still very tired and a bit cranky but so much better than when I am on a sugar roller coaster and I know this will pass.

I would say that if you have a sweet tooth and you have weight to lose, stay away from the paleo treats..I am a sugar addict and paleo or not,it will send me on a slippery slope of bad choices. I think it's a great idea to make these for your child. If you find you have sugar cravings, lower your carbs and up your fat. The…

One thing I would say is that for me,when I have gone off dairy..it has stopped me from having pms/hormonal times at my t.o.m..I also noticed that when I started eating it again,it increased my cravings for sugar..that's just me but it was an interesting experiment all the same.Try giving up dairy for 30 days and see how…

I eat really high fat( keto style primal) and really low carb. I only have coffee in the morning and do the butter/coconut oil in there I eat fatty cuts of meat(ribeye/pork)and I cook it in butter/coconut oil..I then use the pan drippings and cook my veg in that. I don't eat nuts but do eat some cheese. Hope that helps a…

Might not be a bad idea to read up on Mark Sisson and his guidelines for your macros and what to eat,how to lose with a primal approach, etc. Here are some links that can help..it's a great guideline for all you need to know http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-101/#axzz31nhTLCNY Good luck..

I think you should do the whole 30 and if you are on meds, you are on meds. Are you doing the auto immune protocol for the whole 30?

I don't use butter and use coconut oil instead.I usually have a tbsp at a time

Vitamin d,vitamin k and magnesium glycinate I have taken many other things over the years but these ones seem to benefit me the most

Thanks,appreciate it :)

I was going full steam ahead and had an INSANE stress filled day on Friday and I fell into a sugar hole. Hoping to be back to one piece tomorrow and restarting the no sugar path again :(

I make fermented cabbage,it's called cortida and I love it. I think many people use lacto fermenting because there is a fear that you will grow mould spores and die. Personally,I have had no issue doing it myself. Lizzard(I think you are friends with her),is a fermenting/kombucha making goddess..she would be best to ask…

I rarely eat anything "breakfast" I like to eat whatever I have in hand in the morning. Today I had a steak with roasted cauliflower,I like oxtail,lamb..whatever. I often fast for 16-18 hours and find I do better this way...higher fat also seems to work best for me with a smaller amount of protein and lower carbs. When I…

Re-starting my keto primal after having a stumble yesterday. I am going to limit my dairy this month as it's always been an issue for me as it mimics my sugar response. I seem to be able to do butter without any issue but too much cheese and I fail. So,I am recommitting to the next 30 days of my plan.

Be weary of pinterest whole 30 recipes as lots of them are not actually whole 30 approved..I am sure I saw a post about this topic recently on their whole 30 Facebook page

just looked at the comments @karenispaleo,thanks for the laugh :)

I think another thing to look at is the amount already lost is a great loss :) Most people are doing this to resolve health issues and the weight loss is a bonus side effect from eating clean, whole foods. I find I do better when I track honestly and follow the guidelines to a tee but that's just me. Some people can go at…

What a lovely menu :) There are loads of things to choose from, personally,I would be ordering the steak with bernaise if there is someone to share with(or even if there isn't..you could bring back the rest) and a side of broccoli rabe As for a starter, oysters are a good choice or crispy pork belly..actually,loads of the…

I am not going to do a whole 30 right now but I am VERY committed to keeping up with my keto paleo plan and here for support and to get some as well.I need to keep myself accountable this time around and start to kick some *kitten* again :)

I would look into the Auto Immune Protocol and see how you do with it. Elimination of foods that cause inflammation Here are a few sites for resources on the subject http://autoimmune-paleo.com http://www.thepaleomom.com/autoimmunity/the-autoimmune-protocol http://whole9life.com/2013/06/expanded-iswf-shopping-lists/ Most…

If you eat greek yogurt,it's very nice in it with some fresh berries, cinnamon and some nice almond butter..very decadent It also works great in fat bombs

I don't bother with freezing meals but will make large portions of various stews, short ribs, red cabbage, etc and eat them over the week.Interchanging veggies with various meats. This week I made an entire red cabbage, spaghetti squash and a savoy cabbage. Each day I cooked meats and had the veg on the side. Batch cooking is a…

Carbs will make you more hungry.I would be upping my fat first as fat helps with satiety.

First of all, your fat is very low in comparison to your protein..are you lifting a lot of weights? In primal/paleo,protein is moderate. Second,4lbs in 2 weeks is a very good loss in a short period of time. This woe is not about fast weight loss,it's about eating real foods, feeling better, healing ourselves and eventually the…

I am still at it as I am going through until actual Easter. I am finding that by not eating chocolate that I am to control my all out sugar binges I was having before. I am still having sugar(sometimes)but it's not ruling me the same way as chocolate does. As I feel like an addict,I am thinking chocolate will have to…

When you go to an Indian restaurant there are always fennel seeds offered as you leave. They are used to freshen the breathe and act as a digestive aide. About as natural as they come really

Seeing that you have very little weight to lose,I don't understand why an apple would be bad, even if you do have loads to lose. It's an apple. The peanuts are a no no on this woe,as they are full of mould,a legume, and not the healthiest nut choice. I am never hungry between meals,I can easily go 8+ hours without an…

You can add it to the database without making it public and then it doesn't affect the database Akima. I never make my recipes public
