Oh good. Now, we have haters . . . [/quote] Oh they've been around for a while. One of my personal favorites was like my second week on here. This chick claimed she just had to make 9PM runs for a giant Frosty, because if not her lifts and running would totally suffer the next day. I was reported for pointing out that I…

That's a fascinating translation, right there.

Don't you mean you were druped?

The biggest issue I tend to have with the 'clean eating' threads is one touched on in the OP: Ask 10 clean eaters what it means to eat clean, and you can reasonably expect 4 or more different answers. From my perspective, that makes the concept less than helpful for folks trying to get their diet and exercise under…

Why does this make sense to you, please.

Depending on your settings, exercising that long could well indicate a need for more calories than that; MFP expects you to eat back exercise calories, and it's particularly important on Sedentary or Lightly Active settings. Is there a particular reason you feel the need to drink that much water?

Lots of Emmas, no Watsons? That's a shame.

1. If you're sixteen, there are more appropriate sites for you; MFP is designed for adults. 2. Barring specific medical conditions like diabetes or hypoglycemia (not an exhaustive list of applicable conditions), sugar is just a carbohydrate. Don't treat it any differently. 3. That's . . . not a lot of food, unless portions…

Of course. I'm not some sort of monster.

BRB, going to eat 10,000 calories of chicken breast and pears. I should lose weight, right? No? Oh.

I suspect we can compare the protein in cow's milk to virtually any other source of protein, really. "Comparable" here isn't really a big qualifier or selling point.

Treat the next day as a new day. "I failed a test once in college, but I still got my degree."

Let's pretend. . . we're real human beings.

Ask your mother-in-law to cite her sources, because this is hogwash per everything I've read. If it is truth, I'd like to read her sources.

As a student, you hopefully have counselors available on campus with some experience dealing with ED. Please seek them out. Eating disorders are serious. Get some help. Best of luck.

Time and consistency with diet and exercise is the only remedy outside of surgery. There's no known method of spot reducing via exercise.

I suggest you take your family to the optometrist's, as they all clearly need glasses. You look great.

Do facts?

Cashews are evil.

It's 44 calories., Would you be advising the OP to avoid 44 calories of tofu, or banana?
-
Just tell the others you're updating your Facebook or checking Twitter. Nobody complains about that. :grumble:

Even if you don't know ahead of time, I hear there are these new things called "smart phones" that - apparently - can connect their users to a large database of information that some folks call "the internet;" this "internet" thing allegedly has those website thingies with the nutrition information available.
-
Please clarify how meal timing impacts metabolism. Thank you.

Kaiser Soze.

Sadly, there's no known method for spot reduction.

Given the fact that most items at the market are directly or indirectly subsidized by taxpayers' money, that same judgment applies equally to everyone who buys food, doesn't it, regardless of the method of payment? I mean, you already paid to reduce the cost of the corn, or the corndog, in the basket of the person in front…

Were you bike riding on-road, or trail riding? They're vastly different experiences. You mention money is a limiting factor, so activities that otherwise fit your criteria, like kayaking or boxing/MMA may be prohibitive from a start-up perspective.

It was a moral imperative.

Weight loss isn't linear. Amount remaining, sodium intake, hydration, glycogen stores, and hormones are only some of the factors that make weight loss difficult to predict precisely. This is just one reason why weighing yourself multiple times a week (or day) can often drive a person slightly batty. Good luck, OP.
