Do you have access to a bicycle (or a spinning machine) or a pool?
-
Yeah, so apparently one of my main forms of exercise isn't acceptable to you. I suppose I'll have to learn to live with the disapproval of an otherwise anonymous person on the internet.
-
Reasonably sure there are several regulars of MFP who are living proof this is wrong. . . but it probably depends on what you're calling 'a bad diet.'

Please teach me how to spot folks who are short on nutrients on sight. I must learn this technique. The argument that 'we don't need sugar. . . oh, except carbs' is seriously flawed, as sugar is a carb, and because the body breaks down foods into sugar in order to function.

So you quit for a completely arbitrary and bogus reason, which you choose to neither defend nor consider more rationally. Got it.

Getting in to vaguely risque threads before they're locked by moderators.

1) Correlation =/= causation. 2) I'm sure you've never altered your behavior toward anyone - male or female - based upon their appearance. . . right?

Wash your hands before eating.

To the OP: Two handfuls are likely to be too hot to handle.

http://www.snopes.com/medical/myths/8glasses.asp There's nothing magical about 8 glasses, it doesn't have to be water, and yes it is possible to overdose on water - even fatally.

$400/month is eating on a budget? Fascinating.

Where is this science, please?

100% of the people who drink Diet Pepsi will die.

Sugar Ray Leonard boxed at that height and weight for years. His contemporary, Thomas Hearns, boxed in the same weight class while being taller. I suspect both were perfectly capable of opening pickle jars and doing "manly stuff" (whatever that means) while they were at fighting weight. Why is the attempt to body shame…

So, you think that I had the level of comprehension - in college - that you commonly find in your 6th graders, and don't see any potential offense in that comparison? Fascinating.
-
You may find you're best served by eating back your exercise calories, as MFP recommends. 1300 is a pretty tight calorie budget, and dipping too low could well impact lean body mass. Best of luck in meeting your goals.

This goes back to the earlier point I made - along with some others - that a guy holding the door open for a gal he doesn't know has no idea whether doing so is expected, appreciated, or offensive to the gal; what one of them would call 'chivalrous' another would call 'chauvinist.'

Assuming your trainer is well-educated in nutrition, she should know the correct number of calories the workout is burning; most recommendations to 'only eat back half' stem from concern that the calories burned in the database used are optimistically high.

Wear the shirt because Hubby thinks you should. . . IF AND ONLY IF Hubby works out in the clothes that you find appropriate.

So, it's okay if I treat Pat differently than Chris because one of them is - or identifies as - female? Is it okay if I treat Pat differently than Chris because one of them is of Pacific Islander descent? If not, what's the distinction, and what inequalities are, in your opinion, acceptable?

Because they make the water taste better?

My college Gender Studies classes consistently held that treating you differently because of your gender is the very essence of sexism. Could you clarify why treating different sexes differently is not, in fact, sexism?
-
I cropped nothing; I quoted whole-cloth the post to which I responded. I'd say thanks for calling me cute, but I'm unsure if your intention was sexist or not.

The best part is that, in general, a person's reason for opening the door for another person isn't stamped on their forehead for all to immediately note. So, a guy who opens a door for a gal whom he does not know gets the pleasure of possibly getting 'thank you' and possibly getting 'I can open the damned door myself,…

The lower average lifespan was also attributable to high mortality rates in childbirth; as more women and infants survived the birth process, the average started to go up rather noticeably.

I find it best to mentally divide most portions served at restaurants into two servings; I know some folks ask for the 'doggy bag' as they order the food in order to help themselves with portion control.

1700 calories sounds like a reasonable NET goal, broadly speaking. That means you should eat more like 2700 on days you're burning 1000 in the gym (which is admittedly a large burn). The lack of energy and cravings seem like indicators of this.

I typically reach for Isopure Banana. Two scoops get you 50g whey protein isolate (if the last bit matters to you), and it mixes readily with chocolate or vanilla almond milk.

My first thought is to swap the breakfast bar for one with a higher protein count; lots of options available on that front. The bran cereal for lunch can be swapped with a higher protein granola option, among other choices.
