  • Hi Sophia. I am 58 (will be 59 in Jan) and have done the same off and on dieting since my kids were born. I am ready to accomplish this weight loss once and for all and before I turn 60. I am 5'5" and need to lose 40 or so pounds. I log my food every day and check in as often as I can. Add me if you wish!

  • Born and raised in Indiana living in Wisconsin.
  • I am re-starting as I had a big birthday weekend last weekend. I am very closely monitoring my food and back at my 10k steps a day. I have been cutting out almost all sweets and I think I am beginning to stop the cravings. I have even reduced the amount of coffee I drink because I use cream (hence saving some calories…
  • Ouch! Good luck ..beginning is half done! Hope your recovery is complete and as pain free as possible.
  • I walked outside and got my 10k steps in (first time in 3 days so this group is helping already!).I only ate 2 meals but we had ham for New Years so I did get all my water in (another win!) I did however go over my calories since I treated myself to ice cream to celebrate a Packer win! I may readjust my calorie deficit so…

  • All of you inspire me! I walk a lot and run a little. In fact, I ran a 3 miles this afternoon in my neighborhood. I do the local Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving (5 miles) after training some for that but I am not a consistent runner. I would like to do a 10 k tho and maybe eventually a half marathon. I'm 57 but in good…
  • Kashi cereal is high in protein and fiber add skim or 1% milk and some blueberries or raspberries and its a decent breakfast. I probably have that 3 days out of the week, with eggs or PB on toast the other days.
  • I'm down a pound this week 177.6 . I'm back to running after being out of town for 4 days over the weekend so I am hoping the weight loss picks up a bit. I too have a turkey trot on Thanksgiving Day...a 5 mile race so hoping that will help with the extra food I will consume on that day!

  • Great post! I may have been guilty of one or two of those! So THATS why I wasn't losing weight! Definitely should post this on my refrigerator! Humor and accountability...great combo and they have no calories!
  • I started running again in preparation for the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. It's a 5 mile run and I have done it the last 2 years. I haven't run much at all but I do walk a lot and on Sat I was able to run 2.5 miles.
