Congratulation on this successful transformation ! Yes, by the way I did read your entire story and found it both touching and humorous. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

About 10 years ago, I lost a good amount of weight in a relatively short amount of time. I lost 70 pounds in 4 months, but it had to be from the stress of my Divorce. There was way too much stress and I started losing weight, but I was working 2 full time jobs that were each very demanding physically so I was able to keep…

Congrats! Great Job!! I am glad you have found something that works for you. That is what it is all about, finding something that you know you will be able to maintain.

I agree with this. I am learning, that as I lose weight and get healthier, as long as I am eating right I rarely get truly hungry. When I do, I know it's time to fuel my body, not just eat out of boredom, stress etc... I cringe at the thought of some of my previous eating habits before I started changing my diet and…

This pretty much sums it up!

I am from Colorado, and to me it seemed like we were the only ones without a noticeable accent. I have lived in Oklahoma now for over 25 years, and all the words and phrases that the Locals seemed to butcher when I first moved here now seem common and barely noticeable, I am sure I have picked up on many of them without…

My thoughts exactly!

I have used this as well ( Protein Powder) and I have really liked it. Plus I talked to my Doctor and she was all for it!!! She wants me to get around 120 gr. a day of Protein, and trying to fit that into 1200 calories can be challenging!

I know this isn't really advice, but your post brought a smile to my face, because I too recently decided to add biking to my activities, my first ride lasted less than 15 minutes, and there was a couple of times, I was beginning to think I might really die before I made it back home. I got back, and nearly passed…

Well great  Now I think I added it to the Community still can't add to my profile as I intended. Oh well, maybe I will figure it out eventually.

I was trying to add them to my profile. I keep getting a message about "unable to determine size of photo" and then I got an error message telling me it was an invalid file name after I tried to copy and paste the img.

Seems to me from what I read online this is a very expensive way to simply cut calories..... I really don't see the benefit of spending that much money when you could simply buy healthy food and stay within the same range of calories. I have not seen many people on MFP who use or recommend anything other than making…

I read ( I had to look it up though) that it means..... Bring up my Post

Congratulations on your hard work!! I can only imagine what a physically and emotionally demanding job you must have. For all of the brave Men and Women just like yourself, thank you for being heroes to so many in their time of crisis. I am sure you will continue to keep up your great work!

Congratulations! It is very exciting to see that first 20 come off  I always add another 5 pounds to what my MFP ticker shows simply because on New Years Day, I had written in my journal what I weighed and I started trying to lose weight that day, and even though I had the MFP App. on my Ipod, I really didn't use it…

Finally someone with a sense of humor!!! This Thread was getting a little too heated at times. I was born and raised in the United States, and have never even been outside of the Country, and yes I am very proud to be an American. MFP is a site where hopefully all of us can put our differences aside and concentrate on the…

Don't worry about trying to save the entire town, from unhealthy eating habits.... just worry about yourself, you can't change anyone else. It's looks like you have done great already with losing weight, stay focused on your goals and take it one day at a time.
-
Congratulations on your success you look great~

I couldn't agree more!!!
-
No kidding and no lol you may want to see a Doctor if you are breaking out in hives due to reading / seeing certain words.

I agree 100% get in the habit of tracking everything. At least you know where you stand. I think being honest with ourselves about our eating habits or patterns is not only essential but it can really be beneficial, especially when or if I find myself repeating the same pattern. (like late night snacking, eating due to…

I recommend researching what levels are right for you and resetting your goals to an appropriate level of protein. I have tried, but unless I increase my calories I am not sure how to change other preset goals or values on MFP am I missing something? I actually need to consume between 100-120 gr a day per my Doctor, and…

That is terrific!! That was some serious weight loss in a relatively short amount of time. Isn't' crazy how sometimes we have struggled with our weight for years....tried diets with no success and then something happens or changes with our thought process and for once we know failure is not going to be an option! I am sure…

Congratulations! Great Job.

I have recently starting watching the "Dr Oz" show on occasion. It seems to me as if everyday that I have caught part or even all of his show... he has some new "miracle" or trick to losing belly fat or weight. I personally have found some of his guest to be more informative and offer healthy eating advice. My thoughts…

Maybe it's just me, but honestly I have never met anyone in my entire life that has eaten horse meat. Nor have I ever known anyone that own horses or raises them for the meat like they would Cows, pigs, chickens etc.... Perhaps in other countries and cultures it's not that big of a deal, however in the United States this…
