If you haven't been doing it very long, then it's natural for you to be sore at first. Could be that you need more rest time as the previous poster suggests. Try mixing in some cardio days. Make sure you are feeding your body properly and drinking your water. You could be feeling fatigue from missing nutrients. Good luck!

Finally a 40 something club! I've been here a while, welcome everyone! 45 year old mom of three here, and a math teacher. I've lost over 20 lb with about 30 more to go. I look forward to getting friend requests!

I never missed my period. Except for three times: Sam (16), Olivia (11) and Will (9).

You just had a baby 3 weeks ago? Congratulations! Give your body time to heal and feed it real, healthy food. Are you breastfeeding?
-
I've heard of people deliberately eating a tapeworm to lose weight. Ugh

I guess you could call it a cheat day but I don't think of it that way. Mainly I have to keep myself sane and motivated. I don't go off into the weeds too deep, and sometimes it might be once a week or once every 2 weeks. I almost never eat above TDEE.

The worst part of it was, the gun was a rifle.

Chocolate.

For me, if I snack at night I am likely to make bad choices so I try to avoid it. It's a trigger for me (eating at night). It makes me want to eat fatty, salt foods and drink beer. LOL

Is it the new thigh gap?
-
Since Nov. 23, I lost about 6 lb.

You need exercise! Feel free to add me.

I ate chocolate today but had a good run to burn it off.

P. P. S. my base layer is my most expensive layer. Columbia base layer, Omni heat. What goes on top depends. I usually don't worry too much about my legs but layer my top, and a hat and gloves are necessary. I haven't needed a mask yet but I might later on in the winter, depending on conditions.
-
P. S. Never run in icy conditions.

Why feel guilty? I miss the workout or the run, but there is always another day.

Pants NSV's are the best. Yes, I am wearing jeans from 2 kids ago....lol 18's gone, 16's out the door and in 14's now. Can't wait for 12's and 10's.

Why would you think cardio would weaken you? My runner's legs are strong.

I have been where you are, but my 3 kids are older now (9, 11, 16). Those years are such a blur. The more you can do for yourself now, the sooner you will recover (your body is still recovering from birthing 3 times in 6 years) and the better you will feel. I don't have any magic words for you, but I know how tough it is…

I think you should focus on your target weight and making constant progress, and not worry too much about a self-imposed "deadline" that could make you feel discouraged if you are not reaching it. If you are too aggressive, you will be hungry and miserable and it will be hard to stick to it. They key is consistency. Even…

It sounds feasible to me. I am losing at a rate of about 1 lb/week so I should be pretty close to on target for this.
-
It looks fun but I am afraid I will fall on the tree roots on the trails in VA.
-
Feel free to friend me.
-
Oh yeah and I lost over the week also, 1.8 lb.

I ran a 5K in the morning with my 9 year old son. I proceeded to eat what I wanted afterwards, dessert, and even have a couple of drinks, and still came in under my calorie goal.

Continue to run and ride my recumbent bike. Run a 5K on 12/14 - my 4th of the year. Continue to lose at a rate of about 1 lb per week, despite a couple of days of eating, drinking and merrymaking.
