Kids don't know how to eat healthy. When they offer apples for fresh fruit, most of the apples end up in the waste bin. True story.

How long did it take you? It take me 55 minutes to run a 5K. I feel so slow.
-
No back fat = massive achievement, yes! WTG!
-
That's awesome and faster than me!

Cancer is awful. Not even fun to toy with the idea of starting smoking.
-
Sorry, here is my backstory: My mom was a smoker and developed throat cancer in 2008. After 6 months of radiation she is cancer free and healed, except the radiation fried her so much that her salivary glands are gone. Guess what, you can't eat if you can't make saliva. She lives on Ensure now. Yes, she is much thinner.

That's great! Love the little one looking on...lol So cute. Great job!

Stick with it! It does get easier, but it is not a linear process. Some days you feel great and pick up speed, other days you can't wait for it to be over. The main thing is to get the miles in even if it is slow. Good luck on your 5K! Mine is Sept. 14.

Great idea. Once you have developed throat or lung cancer, the radiation and chemo will really help keep those extra pounds at bay. Sorry i think I just fed a troll.

Funny, I am about to have the exact opposite problem. Once school starts I will have to run in the afternoons, b/c it is too dark in the mornings when I would have to get up before everyone to run. Ah, well, we are going to just have to suck it up and get it done! Sooner or later it will be routine and we will get used to…

We all have days like this and the difference between those who succeed and those who don't is patience and determination. Just start up today like nothing happened. I can't see your diary but if you are too severely restricting your cals, you might be more prone to binging simply because your body is real hungry. Last…

Keep exercising, tracking, and drink your water. All will return to normal soon enough.

My worst problem is that once Ihave one glass of wine (or beer), I feel more relaxed and it's easier to have another....and then a salty snack to go with. LOL Guess who's going to visit a winery on Friday? This girl Who's eager to lose weight to go on a trip to Napa next July? Yep <

Ooooh I can't wait until I can go on that shopping trip! welldone!

Look him over pretty closely. No woman ever deserves to feel bad about herself. Period.

You don't care about your diet? Some people think breakfast is important to keep your metabolism going, so you don't get lethargic. Sometimes I skip breakfast but I usually try to eat something healthy.
-
Sorry Lisa, some are kind of brutal here on the threads. you can come here looking for support but God help you if you mention a fad diet, and just as a warning, NEVER mention Dr. Oz.

I say eat your cheese and looking at your diary, it isn't your worst enemy. The take out rotisserie chicken for example.

That is so great! I can jog 3 miles at a time without stopping, but I am so slooowwww. I can't wait to see better times. Congrats!

Since that schedule doesn't even allow for a full night of sleep, I really don't know how you are doing it. I would not function well at all. I am a middle school teacher, mother of 3 and finishing a Master's, a Girl Scout Leader, and my schedule isn't as ruthless as yours. I don't know what to tell you, but I hope you…

Nestle sugar free creamer. Using less of it than I used to.

That's amazing, it's my fantasy! LOL

I run in VA...not as hot as FL of course but it can be tough sometimes. I run in the morning but when school starts I am going to have to switch to afternoons/evenings. I found that in the afternoon/evening, if I haven't hydrated well during the day I have problems finishing my run. Once I had to stop after 1 mile b/c I…

I started running, and I want to run more and get faster. It's hard to do when you are too heavy, so I want to lose the weight to become a better runner.
-
Do you have a food diary yet? Also, make sure you are measuring/weighing. It's easy to underestimate portions. you will get a lot of advice and suport here.

i did my bust wrong. I will have to redo this. Waist - 45 Hips - 49 thigh - 25 (all inches) I guess I will check back in about 2 weeks to see if there is any change ?

It's like running a marathon. Sure, given the the time, preparation, determination and dedication, nearly anyone can do it. However, the challenge is to summon all that dedication and determination. Not everyone finds that part easy, every day, for months on end.

Terrific! I am only 7 pounds away and chipping away at those scales bit by bit...meet you in Onederland soon!
