Only on the internet can you find a bunch of people attacking someone for encouraging others to drink water. I agree with your post. Staying hydrated is so important! And I needed that reminder to encourage me to drink up! Thanks 😊

I was just talking about this...i feel like poor eating/overeating triggers my anxiety through guilt and feeling out of control when i am not paying attention to my calories. I have a little extra weight right now and notice my anxiety has increased and my mood sucks. However instead of my extra weight being the issue, i…

I'm 5'8" and was 129 this morning....lowest was 127 but working on getting to 120. Working on body composition and have to see what the next 9 pounds shows me.

you can absolutely lose weight by eating what you want within reasonable portions. I've lost roughly 80 pounds this way. I will say though that if I had focused on trying to eat a little cleaner I might not have had to deal with as much of this skinny fat physique as what I am now. Working on toning up and making a little…

I just finished week 1 and am starting week 2 tomorrow. Figured it's a good september challenge and I needed to step it up a notch from what i've been doing previously. I've done the Ripped in 30 in years past and got great results working out 6 days a week with a day off in between weeks. Pretty effective DVD and I'm…

Just keep pushing through. Get the mentality that even though the scale is up during that time of the month, doesn't mean you have any control over it. Just mother nature taking its course. Stick with it because you'll be dealing with this every month! We all do

The first picture of me was back when I was 210 pounds. The second picture of me is 135 pounds. I'm 5'8.5" and wear a 6-7 jeans. Sorry that the first picture is not that great but I didn't have a lot of pictures then to refer to, lol.

"People give up when they think of how far they still have to go instead of how far they have come". As long as you are losing any weight at all, consider it a blessing that you feel better than you did before. Don't think of your goal as 90 pounds because you're not even going to know how you'll feel when you hit that…

Climbing stairs without feeling winded Playing with your kids with less effort Wearing clothes is not as much of a struggle Feeling an overall wellness knowing you're taking care of your body A thousand more reasons without the time to mention them all

You're pretty close to my weight and height...I'm 5'8" and between 130-135lbs. I've been told I'm too skinny by some people but generally these comments come from pretty heavy people, so you really have to take it into perspective. I could care less if anyone thinks I'm too skinny because this is the body I live with...not…

I feel that if people are truly stopping when they are satisfied...eating intuitively...that people wouldn't gain so much weight. I like calorie dense foods as well but if I eat a large portion of heavy carb loaded food in one sitting, I'd feel sick and bloated. Like I said before, whatever works for each person is all…

Hey it's a matter of people finding what works for them. I've just done calorie counting for years and don't suspect that I want to keep counting for the rest of my life. To each their own

And last but not least...Just listen to your body

Moderation. That word is everywhere. I like chocolate and goodies and fast food as much as the next person...but I can also be smart about it. If I eat 10 fun size candy pieces am I going to feel like crap? Um yes. I don't want to feel like that so case closed. I literally eat whatever I want to eat. I don't go without a…

I feel that it is partly mind over matter. A lot of us tend to eat these foods because we are in the diet mentality and rebelling against the idea of eating healthy is a way to control the situation. Not to mention that junk food tastes good. But when you realize that you need to be in the mindset to eat healthy because…

Listen to your body...it will tell you when you're hungry. If you don't have normal hunger cues, pay attention to how you're feeling...(shaky, lightheaded. Try not to let it get to this point because those are signs that you're waiting too long). I am a firm believer that you eat when you are hungry and you eat how much is…

I have been pretty lax about my diet lately too...I know I've put on a few pounds but I am eating too much lately. I think one challenge is recognizing what triggers your overeating...anytime I eat a snack or a meal when I'm not hungry and just for the taste, I almost always overeat. When I eat when I'm hungry, I will stay…

I am 5' 8.5" and am usually between 133-136 lbs. I have yet to get lower than 131. My goal weight is 125 lbs and am really struggling. I just can't seem to go any lower than that :(

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but if you have consistently been eating 1200 calories and you bumped it up, you will always put back on glycogen stores. We all hold on to a bit of water weight but when you cut back, you will lose this first and if you increase by any means, you will put a little back on. That's the…

Always ALWAYS cold!! When I eat a big meal, you can see it...grr!!! Exercising sucks sometimes because I'm boney. Doing sit ups or other floor exercises is impossible without a pillow because it hurts my tailbone! I feel more unproportioned than I did when I was heavier...collar bones but a little belly kinda sucks.…

I am currently doing the atkins induction(today is day 10). I decided to go back on it to help cut out my sugar intake and try to get past my recent plateau(I have been stuck within the same 5 pounds for almost a year!!!) since starting, I have gotten past my plateau by 2 pounds! I love low carb because a diet that…

I personally don't eat breakfast by choice just because of this. I am also never hungry in the morning so a travel mug of coffee is all I usually have. When I eat breakfast, no matter what it is(healthy/not healthy choices), I always seem to have more intense cravings for junk. I'm not particularly any hungrier, but I…

I have to completely agree with the idea of paying attention to your hunger signals when eating to lose weight. I have always done this and I feel that it's completely necessary to listen to what your body is telling you. I can almost guarantee my weight fluctuations down to the pound when I register how hungry/how full…

I have my own weight machine in my bedroom. And at first I was a little hesitant to start doing weights until I read posts and saw the awesome pics of some of the women on here strictly using weights. I actually loved using weights(I've been lazy about exercising lately). It's a great alternative to cardio if you're like…

I'm 5' 8.5" HW: 210 CW: 136 GW: 125 My actually goal weight is 130 which has been a struggle to try to get to...(damn holidays!!) I'm hoping to get down to 125 so that when I add maintainence calories in once I hit that goal I'll probably bump back up to 130(because that happens). I try to eat around 1400 calories a day.…

I've lost 65 pounds so far and I've had to take my wedding ring in to have it resized down one size. The last 10 pounds I've recently lost and I can feel my ring is a little lose again.
