Under-Eating?

I'm 220 lbs, 5'7,teenager. I'm really obese for my age.
So, I recently started using livestrong, trying tracking my calories.
My appetite went down a lot, kind of. Out of no where, I just stopped eating. I usually only eat 300-900 calories a day depending on when I want to eat. I was 240 pounds six days ago. I briskly walked and ran three miles today. I really want to continue not eating because I want to loose this weight, but I dont want to mess up anything like my metabolism. I'm sick now, I just can't bring myself to eat breakfast or lunch. Today was a good day though, I have consumed 1,215 calories. The website tells me my diet needs to be at least 1,260 calories. A couple days ago I only consumed 500 calories.

Don't be afraid to eat more. You are eating far too little. Your body needs more calories o sustain itself, to do what it is supposed to do to keep you healthy. Don't deprive it.

At 1260, you are already eating at a big deficit. You need at least 1200 calories a day. Don't get your body used to eating to little. You will lose weight if you eat 1500 calories. Plus, you will be more satisfied and less likely to go off the diet. Also, make sure you eat at least three meals per day. Try to eat at least five fruits and vegetable, have two servings of dairy, eat a protein with every meal, and take a vitamin. Drink at least 8 glasses of water. Do all of this and eat between 1200-1500 calories and you will lose weight.

I just gave you Weight Watcher's plan. I have been a WW for about 15 years. At my biggest, I weighed 214. I lost 84 pounds following that plan. It took a year and one month. I lost weight and it was healthy. When my mama died, I stopped caring and started eating to soothe my heart, and I gained 60 of the pounds back. However, I am back on track and losing again. I have lost 30 pounds so far. I have 30 more to go. We didn't get overweight overnight, so we shouldn't expect to lose it overnight. If you only lose 5 pounds a month, in a year, you will weigh 160 which is between a size 10 and size 12. Be patient and do it the right way.

You need to eat. These crash diets rarely work and frequently lead to eating disorders like BED and anorexia. You don't want either. One makes you fat and the other makes you sickly skinny, but both lead to unhealthy places, physically and mentally.

Do the smart, safe, sane thing and go see a doctor about your weight, then follow his advice.

Regular old dieting will take the weight off just fine. Start walking. Swim! Swimming burns up calories like nobody's business. Lift some weights.

Starving people get sick. Going into it on purpose is stupid.

    Be smart. Get healthy.

Listen to your body...it will tell you when you're hungry. If you don't have normal hunger cues, pay attention to how you're feeling...(shaky, lightheaded. Try not to let it get to this point because those are signs that you're waiting too long). I am a firm believer that you eat when you are hungry and you eat how much is needed to hold you over.
