Paul McKenna's Hunger Scale

I have to completely agree with the idea of paying attention to your hunger signals when eating to lose weight. I have always done this and I feel that it's completely necessary to listen to what your body is telling you. I can almost guarantee my weight fluctuations down to the pound when I register how hungry/how full I've been during the week. I've been able to lose 80 pounds by doing this and I CANNOT for the life of me stick to clean eating(I just love the goodies too much!!!)
Everyone is completely different and handle their weight loss journey in their own way. I agree with the original poster of this link myself, because it has worked for me. I also feel more confident in my weight loss journey when I pay close attention to what my stomach is telling me...
There is no debate about it. It's whatever works for the individual. And thank you for posting this link because I think if more people paid attention to how they feel when they eat as oppossed to WHEN they are supposed to eat, people would be more conscious of their food choices.
I love it. Thank you!!0 -
I count calories because I don't trust my hunger signals. Calorie counting is as close to objective as you can get in dieting. Hunger signals (for me anyway) are completely subjective depending on my emotional state and other personal circumstances.
If my cal goal is full and I'm still hungry, I drink hot tea or water or take a walk because I know my body is full of b.s. It lies to me.
....but that's just me.
