  • Right with ya in that camp. I'm one of the worst offenders. lol
  • I don't mean to bash her or anything in any way. I just find it funny. I have nothing against plastic surgery. It's just not for me. And yes, I know her, and I know she's insecure, but I think SoDamnHungry has a point about her trying to be nice in her own weird plastic surgery way. I don't let it get to me. I really find…
  • thanks for the support and motivation and tips. Had to taken an unexpected rest day today because my left knee and back have been tightening/cracking all day long. not sure what it is, but i don't want to cause an injury . Im starting week 7 once I feel better. :( I really wanted to go for a run today. I think the last run…
  • Well, during the c25k program, my focus is running, so I have the time for 3 times a week. After completing it, I want to focus on strength training, but continue running and progressing, however the strength training program I'm looking into is working out 4 days a week. So I'd like to run 2 days. Doubling up on one, so…
  • Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I've really been looking into my schedule and it seems like I'll be only able to run 2 days a week after my c25k app. Any suggestions for running 2 days a week, since most of these are geared towards 3x? Maybe one long run and 5k? I'd appreciate it.
  • ooo. Juicy info. You know it's great information when I have to google a definition of "long run" lol Sorry, I'm a newbie to the running world (but easily getting addicting to it) Anyway, just to clarify, on the example you set - That would be three different days, correct? Running 3 x a week: making one day a long run and…
  • Yep. I think you guys have the right idea. Your feedback also coincides with that of timeasterday. I’ll make it a plan to build my stamina/mileage for my run. And you’re absolutely right, AFTER I feel good and confident about my 5K, then considering the 10K bridge sounds just right. Never thought of that, yet seems pretty…
  • Great insight. I think I will focus on building my mileage and working on a better pace. Curious - how did you build your mileage? Did you build your mileage as you went? or is there an app for that? I find that if I have something to challenge me or direct me in a way, I have a better outcome.
  • Honestly, I didn't even touch the cardio dvd since I'm doing c25k. I say go ahead and make the cardio part anything you enjoy. We have to enjoy our workouts. So I won't be doing the cardio dvds. As for results, I guess we'll seee :)
  • Monie, did you try the cardio at all? I'm doing c25k and I'm not sure if I should do c25k as cardio or both. Just don't want to overdo it.
  • bump - I've been stalking the group and gathering information preparing to do heavy lifting sometime in the near future...but i find the information overwhelming. oh well. it'll all come together some time.
  • Call me crazy, but I missed Jillian Michaels! I find her silly, in a good way. I took two weeks of dvds to prepare for JMBR and rest up. And it felt great. I can for once say I'm not a beginner, granted its the beginning so its fairly easy. But it felt great! I also pushed myself to do the more challenging ones. We have…
  • I hate mayo. So I usually mix mine with hummus. Then I add w.e. I have, peppers, pickles, olives, hard boiled eggs, it's endless. Or just tuna and hummus if I'm feeling lazy. Dollop into a salad, or make a sandwich, or a wrap. And cheese, or not. Make a panini. Get creative.

  • That's a great mind set, poetic. How was your experience?
  • Hi everyone. I'm starting this Saturday June 1st :) First of the month, why not. lol I've done 30DS, RI30 and NMTZ. I'm really looking to tone and lean out, so I'm crossing my fingers with this program. I was between JMBR, Chalean Extreme, or NROL4W. But, since I've worked with Jillian I decided to take this leap of faith.…
  • how did you find out its b12 deficiency?
  • so, @bostonandie, whatcha decide? lol we're kinda on the same boat. I'm suppose to start w4d1 today, but I've considered doing week 3 again since it wasn't as easy for me. I can't imagine 5 minutes! I had to slow down to a slow jog to finish week 3. After reading some advice, I feel like I should challenge myself and…
  • Good job. How is it going for you? I'm thinking of starting on June 1st.
  • OP, can you tell me what workout routine you're speaking of? We are in the same boat. I have acess to the gym, I'm just not ready for it, and to be honest, I don't prefer it. So I would LOVE to see that at home workout routine you're speaking of. Feel free to PM me. Thanks.
  • Thanks. Just so I can have an idea, what would you suggest my maintaining calorie intake to be?
  • lol this made me giggle. Sounds a bit like mine too. Except I don't use a fanny pack or bring water. I put my armband on to place my phone. And I put on my roadid bracelet.
  • One more thing (sorry) but it's been eating at me, if i am to eat daily 1600, when i workout, that could bring me close to netting 1200 approx 1300. Just wondering if that isn't too low? I didn't do well when netting 1200 (felt physically ill) Compared to 1600, what deficit am I on? Curious to know what my maintenance…
  • Perfect. Thanks. Will update in a couple weeks!
  • Ok thank you, Sara. So, 1600 everyday whether I workout or not. Just two things, the macros suggested are minimums? If my body wants more protein or fats, go for it, or is it a maximum? Also, is this for weight loss &.to lose bf%? Just wondering what results to look for, scale or inches. Thanks!
  • Thanks in advanced!
  • I do. It's a basic gym with machines and weights (planet fitness) no classes. I'm looking to tone and lean out and not be skinny fat. I'm not too focused on the scale. More on my physique and would like to lean/tone out. I would love to see some definition.
  • I just did w1d1. It got a little tough for a sec but i did it! The tips on this thread were on my mind. Breathe, go slow,,.heck, i had a lil supprt group in my head cheering me on!
  • As I'm a beginner, do you think yoga can assist in preventing injuries as well? I'm hoping to be prepared and have little to no injury. OP, thank you for the great information.
  • Thanks! Very useful. I don't have an mp3 player, but I guess I'll use my watch.
