Hey everyone! thank you for all your lovely encouraging replies. Getting this far was difficult, really difficult.... I would also like to share with you somethings i've learnt through my weight-loss: 1) Surround yourself with people who appreciate your presence and can add value to a better you. If people really care…

Even though Im half way through, I still feel as fat as i was when I started out. Remember, psychologically, it takes a much longer time for you to acknowledge the fact that you've lost weight. I remember having nasty days, nasty weeks where the scale just wouldnt move! But you dont have to rely on numbers to feel good.…

I tell those who matter to me, because their support is what i need, especially since i need to be with them most of the times. Usually, they tend to help you. For eg, my parents dont force me into eating what they eat, especially since ive worked hard at the gym, likewise, my boyfriend doesnt make me eat at restraunts…

Your supposed to slow down your pace generally. But i suggest if you really cannot take the pain, then brisk walk. Tip: Stitches often occur because one doesn't warm up properly. Hence, you might want to stretch before your workout.

wow. thank you. that really helped :)

i do envy such friends...but you have to realize in order to introduce a good change in your life, you need to make sacrifices. plus, for all you know, they might be very unhealthy. just because they're skinny doesn't mean they might not have high cholesterol levels or diabetes....

eat it only if you want to maintain your weight, not if you want to lose weight.

oh yeahh! i felt the same last week, and it was so bad, i gorged onto any and every bit of unhealthy food. i was just depressed that i hadnt lost much weight despite my strict diet/exercise regime and hence.... but the whole deal is its ok!!! start again the next day and this time try harder, with positivity...like the…

i go with the statements above....you should not stop your food journal as it keeps your calorie-intake in check. i also understand that you have asthma, but sometime 3x a week isint sufficient, especially if you are really obese. i started out 3x a week as well, and i got really frustrated after 2 months because NOTHING…

oh i totally know what you mean..my weekends are nasty as well but heres what i do to help myself 1) i start my sat/sun exercising, so even if i end up ditching my diet, i dont feel guilty of eating cos i think it balanced off 2) if i know i binged on the weekends, i take extra precaution in what i eat on the weekdays,…

oh yeah! my mom makes nasty comments about me as well, and it DOES NOT help when she taunts me infront of the family/relatives/friends.... :(
-
i weigh my self daily but record it only bi-weekly. It somehow motivates me each time i step on the scale :)
-
oh yesh! i feel the same, the first week was soo much more easier, now that im mid-way there....i keep falling off my diet/healthy eating evry other day BUT i tell myself that tomorrow shall be better. I binged today as well...but tomorrow shall definitely be a new beginning :)

well, i truly understand how your wife feels cos I used to feel dejected each time my ex lost weight, and i didnt, especially when i encouraged him to work out in the first place. she needs your support. make her realise what/whom she is doing this for. Attaining a healthy body isnt a competition but rather a process of…
