Go for it! I highly recommend the book "Marathoning for Mortals" by John Bingham for you; I read it when I was doing my first marathon.

I didn't have any stretch marks or loose skin after having a big baby & gaining and losing 45 lbs for that. It's mostly genetic though.
-
I get in about 8 hours of sleep, but it's not exactly quality sleep (I wake up a few times a night).
-
Sedentary and 1/2 lb a week only gives me 1240 cals. Light active gives me 1400. I did light active but I'll aim for 1300 calories or so and see how that goes.
-
Do you exercise? Are you on any meds that could be causing this? Did your dr check your thyroid? Hm.
-
I just did another calculator and it gave me 1730. That sounds more reasonable.
-
Interesting, I didn't know that! I got my TDEE from an online calculator so I don't know much I should trust it.
-
Right now my running schedule is only M-W-F for 30 minutes, I'll be increasing to 45min-hour soon. I'll start training for a 1/2 marathon over the winter. I'm sleeping ok, though I have to take melatonin.
-
I'm a social worker, so I'm not particularly active at work. SO. . .now I'm confused, should I still be at sedentary?
-
I am eating back my exercise calories. My tdee is probably so low because I'm 5'2" and 42. I had mine set at sedentary and 1lb per week. I changed it to active and 1/2 lb per week and will give that a try... I'm not really having cravings particularly, but I feel really weak when working out. Not winded, just...weak, like…

I'm doing one in 8 months too!
-
Right now Im lucky that my schedule allows me to squeeze in workouts between clients while he's in school during the day.
-
I gained a TON of weight on Seroquel. I switched to Abilify which hasn't been quite as bad, but I'm still in the same boat. My hunger isn't extreme but the pounds aren't really coming off. My BP is also very low.
-
I have some expensive and cheap ones (im the same size as you), and my current favorite sports bra for running is by Champion from Target. I don't know the exact model, but it's a high control one and it has regular bra hook closure in back.
-
I'm also on week 4 (completed day 2 today) and doing awful this week! This was my worst run so far. I'm thinking of repeating but I'm not sure.
-
I have one by Champion from Target that I really like. It has hooks in back like a regular bra.
-
You can add me but I'm slooooow (I took 10 years off from running!).
-
Whatever I feel like the night before (as long as I know it doesn't give me diarrhea...my guts are fickle), dry cereal and maybe a half a banana in the morning is all I can stomach before a long run (I'm a puker). Honestly, I just eat the same way I do when I train. Don't change anything!

I have a North Face shell that keeps me dry, but it is not especially breathable.
-
Most of the bike stuff is already covered (+1 on good wheels for your size), but I'm going to be the one naysayer who says you don't really need clipless pedals, esp if you're just getting into biking. I used them when I raced/sometimes on really long rides, but for everyday riding and commuting (and sometimes even long…

Hi! I'm a working single mother of 1. Right now my schedule is really weird and I have free time most mornings, so I've had time to squeeze in a run then. I'm also doing the 30 day shred since I can do it at home with no babysitter.
-
Right now I'm doing the 30 day shred. I also like to hike & bike.
-
It would bother me, but I'd never wear a sports bra to the gym. I did, however, used to wear one when I went on long runs in the summer. I was younger then though.
-
No, I use measuring cups though. How much more could I really be eating? I'm going to start running again this week and stop weighing myself so much. I need to be more concerned about inches than the scale.
-
I am on Prozac and abilify and have gained 20lbs. It's been slow-going, to say the least, to lose anything, even at 1200 calories. I'm not entirely sure that the mechanism of weight gain from these meds is only from overeating.
-
Tell me more! Do you exercise a ton? I'm 42, 5'2", 125, MAINTAINING on 1200ish. I do take a lot of meds, but this is getting frustrating.
-
Based on how I used to look at that weight. I'll re-evaluate when I get closer.
-
I'm 5'2" and 5 lbs absolutely makes a difference for me.
-
I'm trying to get more into it. My son doesn't seem to interested though, and childcare is an issue.

112 is really a perfect weight for your height; I'd work on therapy, body positivity, and (if you wish) fitness and forget about the scale if I were you. Easier said than done, I know! I wish you luck!
