Steady week with no change.

Another bad entry for me. In at 132.3kg. SOOOO easy to slip in to bad old bad habits when relaxing on holiday.

Bumped for my daughter

I think it's to do with the heart rate. Here's how I see it. If I'm wrong then I hope someone will correct me. Sitting still / sleeping etc burns calories every second as we know. In the gym, when exercising (CV) after a few minutes my HR starts to increase. Eventually, while exercising my HR will reach a desired rate and…

A lot of people will recommend using a HRM.

On the understanding that I need to elevate my heart rate during exercise I've watched my heart rate monitor when doing weight training. I've noticed that during heavy single sets my HR doesn't increase much, it does however if I do circuits - medium weight, high reps, no rest between stations. So I guess it depends on…

Slight loss to 131.2kg this nweek. Things are going way too slow. I need to find the trigger to get things moving again!
-
Maintained again this week - no loss / gain. Great job Pancho. You guys got some sort of celebration coming up? Have a happy one...

Bit of a dip this week. In at 131.8kg. This was recorded through the week. I've been out and about all over the weekend and didn't get to the scales so that's my most up to date weigh-in. Paul C

A lot of people favour Heart Rate Monitors (HRM) as a guide to calories burned. By using one you can see when your Heart Rate is at an optimum rate then it's possible to adjust your Elliptical pace / level to suit. Using one gives you a variety of workout options. The calories burned shown by MFP are considered over…

To bump a thread on an internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads (Wikipidia) Threads drop off the screen fairly rapidly on this site so to bump is a way of keeping the thread alive and in view.

No loss this week. I have felt the pain this week as I am now a 'bicyclist'! I've not taken any long rides yet but I plan to use the bike as part of my fitness regime. Looks like a few of us need to stir things up a bit as the weight loss generally seems to be reducing! Here we go with part 2...

In at 132.7kg this week, still struggling to lose the weight gained a few weeks ago. I have a bike on order and will be picking it up (well riding it home actually) on Monday. I'm really looking forward to using it. Just got to accept that for the first few weeks it'll be a bit painful to walk! Gel saddle? Too right!

Little bit of a drop but not enough to knock out the increase I had last week. This week: 132.8kg

Been sloppy this week. No gym due to work and not been logged my cals. Weight up slightly to 133.3Kg. The selection of foods I'm choosing now is beginning to bore me. I need a spark again. I'm toying with the idea of getting a push bike and ditching the car for a while. Any of you guys use a bike for everyday use?

132.1kg this week. Realy slow going but a move in the right direction.
-
Well done Panco45, way to go... No loss this week for me - dammit. 5 months in now and stalling all to often.
-
In at 132.6kg this week. Good luck guys.

How about making the last weigh-in for this forum the 28th May (4 more weigh-ins) then start fresh in June? Major offensive through out this month!

133.9 Another gain. After reading alot of threads on MFP over the last few days I've decided that cutting out CV might not be the way to go in favour of just doing weights which I have done this week. This last two weeks have been very hit and miss, I've had a few days where I've not completed my food and exercise log and…

This week - 133.5kg. That's an increase for me. Since starting on this journey I've not concentrated too much on the weights (lifting - not body weight!) I knew that I'd shift the body weight when I got heavily in to the cardio and at the expense of muscle mass. I need to change things up a bit now as I'm on a bit of a…

When I travel I tend to eat the local foods in moderation and don't really go out of my way to seek out any low cal options. I try to get accomodation in places that have a gym or pool of some sort though. Fortunately I don't travel all that often so generally it's not a problem for me. The 'high fliers' amongst you must…

On target this week. Down to 132.9. Good going guys, stay positive.

134Kg this week. Sadly not too good after last week. Good luck guys - stay positive as hard as it might seem.

First of the weekend weigh-ins. Early weigh-in this weekend as I'll be out today so will no doubt be hitting a restaurant at some point so tomorrow things might not look as good ! Weight on Saturday morning 134.6kg (296.1Lbs). It's been a great week in the gym and the calories have been kept in check. Some while ago I gave…

Hi. I'm looking for some motivation, is it too late to join this group? I live in Hampshire.

136.1kg I had to check this one twice. I weighed in this morning and again this afternoon and both times the scales showed 136.1kg. By my calculations that's just under 300Lbs on conversion. I've reached my first goal. After a few weeks of no move, finally a drop. I've been getting a bit despondent. Before last weeks weigh…

My knees are shot from sports abuse and my 'other life' in the Army. If I run or have impact by knees tend to swell and then I have restricted movement for a while. So for me it's all gym work. For my CV I use the Elliptical machine, tread mill - walking and the concept rower. I no longer need to run. With the weights I…

No move again this week.

Good answer ebodhorn, thanks for that. Price is an issue over here. From the short look around today, I couldn't see anything as cheap as you mention. I live in the UK. I'm sure that there are cheaper varieties on the web.
