I just started today!...I have tried it along with a keto diet and had success losing some weight. I think it will go better this time for me simply because I understand the electrolyte balance (keto requirement) better.

I lift weights while LCHF. I don't consume extra carbs either. I find that after an initial period of having to deload, my strength came back and I was able to lift my regular weights. If I get hungry after lifting weights, I just consume LCHF foods such as avocados and bacon. Have you lifted weights before? Have you…

I've actually experienced this and would like to know how the devil that works.

Thank you, I kind of knew this but needed to be reminded!

baked goods and pizzas and eating until I am stuffed and don't feel good

Do you think that this is why folks that do Medi-fast or such programs often fail and put weight back on?

It seems that whenever I had tried to "diet" I would do really well for two weeks. My weight would drop like, by 2lbs a week or something. After that initial 2 weeks my weight loss would stall and I would think, "why the hell am I exercising and going without my favorite foods for this...it's not working....I quit!" But…

Just had a polyp removed, OBGYN is thinking my endometriosis is back (had it 20 odd years ago). After kids I was on the pill for many years and then about 3 years ago I stopped taking the pill. But now, my periods got so bad again I was just put back on them. I wasn't suppose to have my period this month due to being on…

Trying the carb cycling because I have 5-6 lbs to lose to reach my goal and I have been stuck for several months.

I think it comes down to mindless eating and uncontrolled portions. We can all eat processed foods/junk foods (not promoting this) and as long as it is in your calorie goals it is fine. Saying they can't afford healthy food is causing obesity is something I don't agree with.

1234mc...thank you for your service! You may vent all you want! As far as I am concerned you earned the right. Loads of people state their opinion on here and end up being torn apart for it. Don't let them bother you. I don't fully understand gastric by-pass, but I have seen some people lose a lot of weight on their own…

Same for me. I am the same height and if I eat what I want(within reason) I am 135-140. Eating whatever I wanted and often got me up to 165 five years ago. I have to make an effort to log everyday to stay at 130. I would love 125 but that takes a lot of exercise and still eating 1200 cals a day, so I feel that is not…

I don't understand why viewing another human life and watching them deal with their personal struggles is humiliating? I don't feel embarrassed for them, I don't think they are being degraded, this is their life.....it isn't good it isn't bad it just is.

I don't find it "entertaining" as much as interesting?? It is not that I am loving every minute of watching these people suffer but I am interested in "why" they get that big, how they manage their lives, why do people aid them in getting that big? I am interested in the biology of it, as in, the fat rolls and the skin…

I did not know that! I thought they counted steps and without the heart rate couldn't tell "how" you were getting the steps. Thanks!

They actually had a young lady on TV once; I believe it was a plastic surgery show. She was slim and fit but for some reason her mons pubis was very large and she looked odd in swimsuits and such. It was like a pillow of fat right on her pubic bone that "protruded". It wasn't a fat pouch from her stomach. Since she was…

Things like fit bit flex and other pedometers just count steps and will give you estimated calorie burned as if you were walking. You obviously burned more running, which is why fit bit HR or other devices which detect your heart rate and effort will show more calories burned for the exercise.

I totally over ate yesterday, yes I am totally mad at myself. However, I am going to have a good rest of the week or die trying. A couple of months ago some of my co-workers wanted to trim down. It just so happens that it was right before the holidays. They decided to scrap the diet and wait until after the holidays. I…

I have a goal of 10,000 steps a day. I don't always get that many in. The times when I was consistently getting 10,000 and more I noticed my weight was less and easier to manage. I simply was more active, not sitting around the house and munching.

Thanks for the clarification!

I don't think there is one within 50 miles of me, but if there was I probably would go just to see what the hub-bub is.
