Spat my morning coffee on the keys BRILLIANT

I eat an organic wholefood diet when I'm at home and try to make healthy choices when I'm out. I choose to eat full fat dairy rather than low fat options and threw away anything in my cupboard that had sugar as the 1st or 2nd ingredient. I eat brown rice and wholemeal pasta instead of the white options and cook with…

Okay, so I'm a smoker and I don't exercise apart from a little walking and dancing. I made a deal with myself that at the 20KG lost mark I'd give up smoking and take up some exercise. For an orally fixated person restricting food AND cigarettes is a big ask. Bring on the hecklers........

This is an interesting documentary and to be honest some of the information shocked me. I mean, an entire suburb without a supermarket????? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MJnm5X9NN0

Why would you want to eat 5K.? Perhaps look at people's open diaries if you want some new idea's for foods to eat. We are all fat here from overeating, what could possibly be inspiring about finding ways to do that?
-
Looking at your diary you seem to binge on cereal a lot as it is, I feel you wouldn't need help getting to a 5K day. So if the point of this tread was to find out what others would choose to do on a huge binge day, this is what I'd do if I was inclined, though as I'm trying to lose weight I would actually want to do it.…

Half of my weight loss to date happened in the 1st month. Plateaus are just part of it all. If you eat less than you burn the weight will come off. Weight creeps on and it comes off the same way. I know it's hard, you want to be rewarded for the effort and for those of us that went for the instant gratification of food,…

I'd like to ban junk food in Australia as we are starting to go the way of America where obesity is the norm.
-
I'm inclined to agree with this. We all know you can be slim with out being fit and toned. I have yet to take up any formal exercise but I'm losing weight.

Hi there, I've logged for the last 85 days, so feel free to add me.

Agreed a calorie is a calorie but my body knows the difference between clean ingredients and highly processed, chemical additives and a bucket of refined sugar. I would not even consider eating garbage like Macca's.
-
I'd suggest taking Spiralina or Vital Greens daily
-
Highly processed food is unhealthy. A big mac is unhealthy, a burger with quality ingredients; whilst heavy on the calories, isn't.. But to answer the original post, I eat pretty clean and when I don't I feel like crap. I've had 2 days in the last 4 months when I ate lots of fat and salt (sugar has never been my poison)…

Do you have a juicer, if not you can pick them up for about $50. Juicing is a great alternative to smoothies with half the calorie count. Adding wheatgrass and spiralina makes them all the better! Also, where in Melbourne are you? I belong to an organic food co-op and the produce is cheap!

These 3 natural products really work with depression and anxiety, taken daily you will feel the results in a couple of weeks. 2 handfuls organic raw cashew nuts Vitamin B3 Vitamin D3 Good luck with your weight loss and struggles

Drinking tonic water is a good way to start, it tricks your brain into thinking you are drinking alcohol. I understand the peer pressure, I work as a DJ, my drinks are free and it's expected that I drink, I got a lot of crap from my bartenders....
-
I cut alcohol out when I decided to change my diet. Too many bad sugars and empty calories. Having said that, if I really want a drink I have one - a couple of glasses of nice red, champagne or a dirty martini but regular drinking has gone from my diet. I don't miss the hangovers either ;-)
-
Thanks for this. I try to remember to take B3 and D3 daily and when I juice I add Spiralina and Wheatgrass. I take a powder called Vital Greens daily, though with the cold weather my daily resolve melts.....
-
Thanks for the response. I actually went shopping today, loaded my cart with cheese then put it all back!
-
add me as a friend, I'm here every day.
-
You should try Tempeh, it's fermented soy beans, it has a nutty taste and isn't processed like tofu.
-
Organic full fat dairy is good for you and tastes waaaaaaay better
-
It's kinda funny, nobody makes you reply to a thread yet people get on their high horse and answer things rudely. Now if you have been on here for years then perhaps you aren't sticking to a healthy eating plan and are just taking your frustration out on others? Find like minded people for support and be honest with your…

Firstly I like to say you look fantastic in both pictures. Body confidence is a hard one to tackle. Now that I'm losing weight I feel much better about myself but in the past I've been 20KGS lighter and racked with self loathing over my weight, it's never really about the number but how you feel about yourself. So stay…

This is a great cheap easy meal I make a lot. Chicken and vegetable soup, it keeps well and tastes better the next day. Fry cubed chicken breast with onion, garlic and thyme. Add chicken stock and then cubed veggies, what ever you like. I enjoy it with fresh corn in it as it's nice and sweet and is the carb component for…

CHEESE all kinds of cheese!

I'd 2nd this. Spinach sauteed in garlic and olive oil with a squeeze of lemon juice and some feta crumbled over it. Carrot and coriander soup. Fry off onion and garlic. Add vegetable or chicken stock. carrots (the stock should just cover them) the root's of a bunch of fresh coriander. Cook until the carrots are soft. Blitz…
