you need to get the bloods done and medication sorted. I'm losing weight steadily now that I'm on the right dose of Eutroxsig. There is a group on here dedicated to people losing weight with a thyroid condition, you may want to join.

Good for you! Aspartame is the devil, it's toxic and with constant ingestion causes weight gain. Giving it up can only be good for you. Try substituting it with mineral water, you get the fizz and your daily water intake.

Telling an obese person they are obese isn't bullying, ridiculing them for it is. I'm 5ft 8inches and 217 pounds. That's obese, I know it and need to do something about it. I wish my friends had said "hey you are stacking it on" I knew it but ignored it, maybe I would have done something about it sooner.

Eggs like nuts are full of the good cholesterol and stick to the whole egg as the yolk is where all the goodness is stored. If you are frying them in oil I'd stick to healthy ones like olive, walnut or coconut oil.

I gained 17 kilos in 18months due t a low functioning thyroid, I think my thyroxine dose is finally right and I've been losing weight the last few months. It sucks doesn't it.

If you don't eat organically vitamins are essential as GMO food is nutrient poor and full of toxins from pesticides. Also Chanel perfume and quality make up and hair care. It's funny I didn't really think of these items at first, I use natural organic moisturiser, toothpaste and deodorant. It's interesting how you can over look what you don't want to give up. Would love to be a non smoker though.

Eggs have the good cholesterol not the bad so I wouldn't worry eating them. I love berries, nuts and yogurt in the morning.

I've switched to almond or cashew nut paste, healthier and tastier. As people have already said the natural peanut butter is good for you. All the others are just loaded with trans fat, sugar and salt.

I weigh myself once a month. It would do my head in any more than that.

I realize palm sugar and palm oils are good for you but make sure they are ethically sourced, the Orangutan is now on the endangered list due to the monocropping of palm sure where their habitat use to be.

I do this all the time, you get to make the better choices that way. Like most people here, left to my own devices I'd make fatty choices or have to big a portion so it's really helpful to log it a head of time.

Hi there, I've just joined this group. When I crave a sweet breakfast, (which isn't that often if you look at my diary - don't judge me on Sundays entry) I keep this in the cupboard "Superfood Cereal Cacao Crunch" It's vegan, raw and organic.

Hi there, are you on any medication. I'm on meds now but gained 15kg last year before I started on them and they are still trying to get the dose right so to lose weight I'm not following my TDEE less 20% rule as it doesn't take my condition into account.

Burt, true caffeine should be drunk in moderation and never allowed to be ingested by children. Personally I love my 2 espresso's a day... I also smoke BUT I wouldn't touch anything with Aspertame in it or GM produce. So in other words; I pick my poisons.

The only veggie I don't like is mushrooms. My 3 fav's are Asparagus, spinach and potato but I have given up potato. The reality is I loved that it was a delivery system for butter and salt and when I ate some plain about 3 weeks ago it was disgusting. It was a light bulb moment!!!!

You really have to control the food that gets cooked, meaning you should cook and make healthier versions of what ever you eat, you know, baked not fried. Grate veggies into chilli or meat sauces, use yogurt not cream in sauces . Also try making things that can have toppings like bacon and cheese so your husband can have…
