I did low carb for a while, and it worked well enough... but I got tired of having "off limits" food groups. I'm now following the "always hungry" protocol, which is closer to a Mediterranean diet. Low(ish) carb and high (quality) fats.... I like it because its basically low carb but with more fruit and veggie allowances.

Welcome Back!! I'm not personally a part of the LGBT community, but my 15 yr old niece just came out as trans, so I more than support the community <3

Healthy eating and being in shape aren't mutually exclusive. Enjoy your doughnuts, but keep your body moving. Fitness, for me, has made me feel unstoppable. The junk food, not so much, but I just can't refuse myself the sweets.

I turn 30 this July... I've lost about 70 lbs in the past couple years, but I'd like to finally lose the last 10-15 and continue recomping my body.

A recent NSV for me has been realizing how easy it is to get ready for a night out. I feel good in 99% of the clothes I own now, so getting dressed up doesn't require 1,363,6849 outfit changes or the indecisiveness I had grown accustomed to. Also, being comfortable and feeling pretty in a basic t-shirt and jeans... I've…

The premium version allows you to set calorie goals by day and meal. It also lets you adjust your dashboard so it shows how many calories/macros are remaining rather than what's been consumed. I just upgraded because I'm at the last 10 pounds and want to keep my macros super tight, so it seems to be working for that

"ball in sock" as i like to call it. Its not a good look lol

I did it last year and loved it. It got me into the daily routine and I ended up doing longer daily workouts as a result. It was a great stepping stone in my fitness journey.

I, too, have an apple shaped body. I have found that focusing on building bigger legs and glutes has started to better balance my body. With such few weights, I would focus on step ups, glute bridges, 1 leg glute bridges, donkey kicks, squats and lunges (which have tons of variations). I used to work a lot on abs, but the…

I too, am here just to follow. Working on the last 10 and it's a serious exercise in patience!!

sort of weight related.... but having to adjust my stats on my Polar HRM so I get an accurate reading

I, too, have a really hard time at night. I find the trick is finding stuff you CAN eat guilt free, because I can't usually resist, or at least not every day.... I have recently been enjoying Halo Top, or last night I ground up some ice and mixed it with a BCAA powder I have to make a snow cone. It tasted like a freezie…

I put on a pair of jeans today that were SUPER tight a month or so ago, and although the scale has hardly budged, they fit comfortably :D

perhaps find a mantra or positive affirmation to remind yourself that you are worth the effort? I find positive self talk has really helped me be successful this past year

Hi all, my name is Ticia and I have to join in on this amazing thread. A little history: I have been a chronic dieter. I've lost weight many times but usually in overly restrictive ways. 2016 was an enlightening year for me. I really worked on improving my mental health, my relationship with food, and made exercise a…

If you are as active as you say you are that few calories is going to be nothing but detrimental to your health. I would be eating at least 1600 calories a day, or if you really feel it necessary to keep it to 1200, do so, but eat back ALL of your exercise calories.

I have a smart scale and I can set in the profile if I am athletic (which I haven't so I don't know exactly the effect this would have), but perhaps you can change a setting to provide a little more accuracy? I also think it's wise to take those measurements with a grain of salt, I use that measurement more to know I'm…

This sounds so cliché but trust the process. I have been going through a similar thing since September of last year. Got down to 155 only to bounce right back up to 163. Overall, I have lost maybe 3 pounds from my September 1st weight, and it fluctuates a fair amount. However, in that time I have still managed to lose 2…

I drink up some pre workout. It's gets me going about 20 mins later. Only on days i'm really struggling though because like livingleanlivingclean said, its part of the schedule now.

I did that program before christmas and hurt my shoulder doing Upright Rows, because they're done too quick so its hard to keep perfect form. It's still bugging me. Just a warning so you don't make the same mistake I did.

I use evlution stacked whey protein. It's affodable and the flavours are DELISH!

You should check out fitnessblender.com. They have tons of videos catered to all levels, and you can select the equipment you have, or none at all.

I hope you realize this is a greater reflection on them, showing what *kitten* people they are

Hey all. I'm new to the program. It's my first go, and I'm 3 weeks in. Absolutely loving the program so far!!

I marry this April in Jamaica. Looking to lose the last 10-15 pounds by then *fingers crossed*

umm one tip would be not to start the class cold. Zumba can jump right into it, so a good warm up before the class may reduce soreness.
