  • I'm starting this soon, super excited :)
  • Following, because I'm in a similar situation and want to recomp.
  • The scale actually went down a pound in the 1st week and has stayed put since then, so I've effectively been maintaining for several weeks. Also, with the extra cals my workouts have been killer!
  • Yep, I've been at maintenance calories for a couple weeks now. Ready to take them down a bit again to lose this last 10 pounds. I'd been stuck for months anyhow, all the while eating several hundred calories less, so I'm hoping this has been a good reset for my body.
  • I figure any depth is beneficial if you are doing it with good form and without collapsing your knees. I started squatting in Feb of this year and couldn't go parallel. I can now go a good few inches below parallel. I need to keep a wider stance cuz I'm still a little overweight and the belly prevents a deep narrow stance…
  • I'm on week two of a diet break, and lemme tell you, I feel about 1000x better and much more prepared for the last leg of my weight loss
  • I've lost 70 pounds and two full cup sizes. I'm now a small B... Mind you I'm not sad about it. I've become A LOT more active and I don't have to worry about strapping them down, or having back pain from them... They're also proportional to my smaller frame. So it's not all bad.
  • P.s. Sorry for the novel I just really feel your pain! :s
  • I've been dealing with the same thing since early feb. It is such a bummer!! Mind you I've managed to lose 45 pounds and have gone from little to no movement (without debilitating pain) to jump squats/lunges.. you name it. I still suffer a fair amount after workouts and especially in the morning but stretching relieves…
  • I've lost 40 pounds since January, putting me at a healthy BMI (Juuuust, but i'll take it). I've also done so while fighting piriformis syndrome. What I've gained is immeasurable. I have been feeling so much better. I'm more clear and focused mentally. I've also quit smoking weed, which was a 15 year habit (it hinders my…
  • Hey, good work on coming as far as you have, that's a huge accomplishment! I would suggest adding in some more strength based exercise, the extra muscle will help you burn more calories at rest. Also, just keep a closer eye on your food intake. I have lost 60 pounds and it stalled all summer, turns out I was becoming a…
  • My strategy this year? Eat what I want in whatever quantities I want ONLY on the actual Holiday or at planned holiday dinners. This means not partaking in the week long pot luck at work, not eating all the baked goods around the office and avoiding the after holiday goodies that are heavily discounted. I'm hoping 3 bad…
  • XL is the extended release formula, so you only have to take it once a day
  • I'm currently taking 300mg of Wellbutrin XL. There was a pretty noticeable decrease in my appetite at the offset. This has now leveled back out to normal. I've been on it for a year, and I feel great. It doesn't make me feel numb like Cipralex did, and I've lost around 40lbs whereas I typically gain on new medications.
  • I think this depends on if your body composition. I ended up wearing a D cup when I was bigger, but I suspect a lot of it was just me having so much fat around the torso/chest. I'm now a small B. My niece on the other hand has always been very chest-y and she loses some from the boobs but not a tonne, and when she puts any…
  • I'm super proud of the progress I've made using their FB Fit programs 1 & 2.... Improvements both fitness wise and a decent reduction in body weight
  • These are the results I've had with Fitness Blender since the beginning of the year. Huge improvements in both weight and fitness capabilities. This is two full rounds of FB Fit, with a lot of modifications because I can't jump or do any HIIT due to piriformis syndrome
  • I recommend checking out Fitness Blender... they have a tonne of different workouts for free, and you can select your level and available equipment.
  • Welcome! One piece of advise I can offer is not to have an all or nothing mentality. I struggled with that for years and would eat well for a couple weeks, have a bad weekend and quit. All that did was lead to 10+ years of dieting with nothing to show for it. Be forgiving and remember this is a long term thing, so…
  • As others have mentioned vegetarianism doesn't necessarily lead to weight loss. If you do try it dont just switch to pastas and rice dishes as I did at first, veggies will be your new best friend. Also, keep in mind this doesnt have to be an all or nothing kind of thing. If you can eat vegetarian most of the time, but feel…
  • p.s. congrats on your progress OP, you look fantastic!
  • Not the greatest quality photos, but this is 230lbs to 170lbs. 30 more to go. Can't say i'm not a little embarrased with the first pic, but its awesome to look back and see how far I've come. Hello waist!
  • Congrats to your father, that is a huge accomplishment!! I believe people need to do whatever it is that keeps them going, and eating well. Be that low carb/high carb/vegan/raw, etc, etc. The key is finding what works for you, and clearly this diet worked well for your father. I believe there is some merit in the low carb…
  • I say full fat when it comes to much of anything. When they remove the fat it removes a lot of the flavour so they must add crap to make it more palatable.
  • I honestly wouldn't sweat it, so long as you are eating a "balanced" vegetarian diet.. one full of fruits, vegetables, nuts and beans then you should be getting more than enough protein without having to use supplements.
  • Its not ALL pus, but the FDA actually allows a certain percentage of pus and blood, so yea that's just too gross for me
  • Fitness Blender is fantastic. They have a TON of videos online, most of which are free. And if you do decide to purchase one of their programs, they are very reasonable. I got an 8 week workout plan last month for under 10 bucks.
  • I'm going to buy myself a nice matching bra and pantie set. I currently buy what fits okay, and doesn't cause any lumpy bumpies, so it will be nice to be able to buy for aesthetic purposes
  • I was on an SSRI for several years. I gained 50 pounds in the first 6 months :# It worked okay for me but after a while the side effects became way too much to handle. The weight gain, a nonexistent sex drive, and an inability to feel emotions made me decide to stop. I've been on Wellbutrin 300mg for 2 months now and I'm…
