  • I'm starting to think that I need to stop splurging sometimes when I go out. I usually end up feeling awful afterward or the next day. My stomach gets so messed up, and this is with only minor splurges like sauces. I hope you're feeling better! Any suggestions for what to do when you do feel awful after a cheat day/meal?…
  • I skip the cheese course. I get the broth for the meat course and load up on veggies (they'll bring you more if you ask). I splurge on dark chocolate fondue and ask for the gluten free dipping plate (it's all fruit--no cakes). Remember, it's one meal. :-)
  • This has been a tough one for me as I crave salty/crunchy more these days. First, I drink some water. I find that when I crave salt (or food in general) that I'm often just thirsty. Then I look at my situation--movies, watching TV, some other time when I'm conditioned to want something salty/snacky. Often I'll have raw…
  • Among other things, I've dropped dairy, except for butter and unpasteurized cheese, and my health and allergies have dramatically improved. I feel sick when I eat dairy now. I have noticed that not all almond milks are the same. Some taste horrible. I always get the unsweetened, but now I'm looking at the ingredients more.…
  • I have a Dale's protein bar (22g protein, 14-15 g carb, etc.). They're awesome. And a lot of water.
  • I also use a PVC pipe on the floor and run my foot over it. I started doing this in a yoga class, and it felt great! My chiropractor has me use a little ball too, but I like the pipe better. I think I still have one of the night splints. I'll have to check for it. I totally forgot about that. Thanks! So I probably don't…
  • Dream whey protein (dutch chocolate). Yum. I use it in smoothies or to make mock hot chocolate (dairy/sugar free too).
  • Dream whey protein. The chocolate is great in smoothies. The vanilla isn't my favorite, but it's drinkable.
  • Dale's bars. You have to order them directly online because they make them from scratch. They are AWESOME. 22g protein, 14-15g carbs, etc. They have nuts and/or nut butters so make sure to read the ingredients if you have to avoid any. We've tried about 8-10 flavors between us and have loved most of them.
