  • Started really working out this week, (monday), and noticed this morning a 2 pound gain. So, for those who advocate the tape measurements....how often do you check your measurements? I eat at a deficit, currently do Insanity, and the only caloires I eat back after working out come from the protein / recovery shake I use…
  • I believe they can be done either way. I've seen planks done as low planks (on the forearms) and high planks, held up on hands. Not really sure what, or if there is much of a difference other than forearm vs hands.
  • Thanks again for all the advice...I will definitely look into the HR monitors. Now...finally...off to go do my fit test! YAY!!  *Bounces out the room*
  • Hopefully they'll be a bit understanding when they realize it's an adult doing all the jumping and stomping, etc. Could always offer them to join you....HA! I have a friend getting ready to get the disks as well, who lives on an upper floor appartment. Will be interesting to hear about. Keep it up!
  • Lot of people telling me as of recently that I'm an inspiration for them to get back on track, exercise, eat healthy, etc. My biggest unexpected surprise after losing weight was I noticed for the first time, that my inner thighs no longer seem to excuse and pardon each other when I walk. When I first noticed this, it felt…
  • It just depends on what day and disc / workout you're doing on your calendar. Day 1 is the fitness test, which I think is about 20-30 mins...give or take. But others are like 30-40 mins. Also, there's some days that put 2 workouts from one disc together...so that may be about a good 45-60 minutes. Also, I believe the…
  • Nice, I'm just starting Insanity tonight. Totally pumped and ready to work my butt off and see changes. Somewhat nervous as well since this is my first time. Got a co-worker that did about 6 weeks, and got sick and couldn't do the workout for awhile. She loves it, and we're both starting today. Good luck with your second…
  • Not sure. I don't start the workout til later tonight, after work. This is also my first time trying Insanity as well...I'm excited, and nervous at the same time. So really looking forward to it. I think I will look into getting a monitor, then....if nothing else, than to put in an accurate calorie burn count. Also, I try…
  • I start Insanity tonight...and was wondering the same thing in reguards to how I should log it. I hope there's a way of logging it accurately. I don't want to just put down aerobics, cause I don't think that's really the same thing / burns the same amount of calories as Insanity. Hope someone knows, though.
