Very nice story and as mentioned above its great that you've had each other along the way. Many congratulations to you both.

Agree with most already said. People want a quick fix. I lost 60lb too in 7 months going from 266 to 210 (roughly). My SO sister was and still is heavily overweight. She would compliment me every time she saw me and asked me how I managed it. Told her I ate everything I did before, drank beer etc but just fit it into a…

Not really, no. London is a tough place :)
-
Feel free to add me. I'm in London and looking to drop 22lbs.
-
Blimey good luck at jumping straight into that!! You could enter a random calorie number but more importantly please don't overdo it. Don't look at the fittest one in the class and try to copy them. If you're struggling stop, sip water and I just tried a few jumping jacks if I couldn't do the actual exercise. Good luck.

Hi I'm from London, UK. Back after a break with 22lb to lose. Please feel free to add as I can't work out how to add yet on this new look site.
-
No short cuts. Discipline, self control and ambition will see you meet your targets.
-
Personally, I wouldn't like to be told which foods I can/can't eat or what to avoid. This is a great site you'll do well here.

Don't give a hoot about anyone other than yourself. Stick to your programme to meet your goals. You'll gain confidence over the coming weeks/months and wonder what you worried about. Wear comfortable clothing too. You've got this.

How you started was how I did back in September. I'd been walking on treadmills for 4 months, varying the incline, and really wanted to run. So I did and after 30 seconds was knackered!! Now I run 5ks weekly and can run and run and run!! It's the best. Don't rush and you'll be fine.

My personal opinion - WW is an absolute waste of time. Calorie counting is the only way forward.
-
I had 3 the other day for breakfast!! 220 each!! Just had a cheese sandwich for lunch and a chicken hotpot for dinner and no other treats. Still under my calorie goal!! Moral of this rather pointless story? STICK TO YOUR GOALS AND TREAT YOURSELF TO WHAT YOU WANT!!

I have been on MFP for 8 months now and I'm 60lbs down in total. I stopped logging (Bar a few days last week) around Xmas. Prior to that I logged for 6 months straight. At Xmas I weighed 211. Yesterday I weighed 210. That was after 5 weeks without logging. I'm going back to logging and losing from next week but the break…

Superb advice.

Assuming that you are actually eating 1200 per day ill start by saying just stick with it. Some actually put ON a lb or two at first when trying to lose weight. 1200 does seems low for 230lb is MY opinion but listen good luck and keep asking questions.
-
Hey. Why so sad? Talk to me.
-
You can change your starting weight in settings.
-
Count them as sins? Yeah not for me. Anyway, good luck here on MFP you couldn't wish for a better place to lose weight.
-
Your in the right place here. I've got no positives regarding slimming world after someone I know said she couldn't eat anything fried. Wtf??? Just count your calories, truthfully, and you'll lose weight. I'm from London so fella uk here and I've lost 5 stone since last May. Good luck.

Nutella. Then some more.

Hope so?

Hi Alan. I'm afraid this might not help but I don't view Sat/Sun any different to Monday to Friday. To me I eat what I want when I want every day and stick to my calorie goal. I'm in London and watch Tottenham Hotspur most games and if I have 3/4 beers I pre-log them and just don't eat the double cheeseburger I once might…

Your probably binging as your eating too little most of the time. 800 calories is not enough. Look up your TDEE via an online calculator, be honest, and log truthfully.
-
Lets just say we all see things different then! Anyway good luck.
-
You ran it in 25 seconds??? :) Oh and yes it most certainly does.
-
Yes ( Great transformation girl!!)
-
It's likely to be water weight. Just keep counting calories and working out and you'll start slowing down to a healthy weekly rate soon enough.
-
It would've been a mis match lol. Your photos are beautiful. You could've gone on that show beauty and the geek though. Haha just kidding....kinda... Anyway just move on to the next guy. Time waits for no one.

I'm down 56 from 266 to 210. I've weighed 210-212 for 3 months now despite logging accurately and running 10 miles a week. It's frustrating but ill lose again.
-
Personally, I don't log it. It's never gonna be accurate anyway. I just stick to my daily allowance and know that my lifting is going great!! I always eat/drink protein 15 minutes after a good weight session.
