Thanks everyone for your experiences and stories! Nice to know I’m not a weirdo and this seems very normal! But less nice to know it may never go away! Fingers crossed my brain does adapt!

Thank you all 😊 I think I am the same as you all and would rather daily weigh ins to get more data points allowing me to spot trends and correct them quicker! But hopefully when I’ve maintained for a while I will be comfortably able to weigh slightly less frequently! Wow I don’t know what I’m most impressed by, the 125lbs…

The actual time difference is 1 year. But I looked like the left until February this year so the change between them actually took 4 months. Just one class a week, sometimes eating low calorie, sometimes very much indulging (I went on two holidays in that time!)

Thanks for your support, and yes I know that my thought processes regarding weight loss can be a bit shocking to others (I've struggled with an eating disorder in the past), but be assured I'm not going to over-react and change things up to lose weight fast. I know you are right and the sensible, healthy and best thing to…

Thanks. Yeh I'm thinking of weighing tomorrow and checking just because I did weights late yesterday evening and I know from a couple of years ago when I was doing strong lifts 5x5 I often weighed more the next morning. I'm going to keep this regime up for another 3 weeks and if the changes are slowing down I'll drop…

So I weighed in today and in 19 days of this plan I've lost 1.5lbs... Which is what theoretically I should have lost, but I felt like I'd lost a lot more than that if I'm honest so I'm disappointed. I have lost 1.5 inches from my waist though in that time so that's good. My clothes fit better too. Is it possible I could be…

Breakfast: - Baked beans, low fat cottage cheese, two eggs. I generally mix the cottage cheese and beans together it makes the beans creamier and the cheese less bland! - 0% fat greek yoghurt, pumpkin seeds, berries Lunches proteins: - Humus, other chickpea based foods, cheese, quorn, cottage cheese Dinner proteins -…

Thank you  That scooby website is great, I have used it before but completely forgot about it! I've just put all my stats in to it and it says I should lose 1lb per week if I eat around 1960kcal a day, so I am assuming depending on whether I've over or under-estimated my activity levels I will be losing 0.5-1.5lbs a…

Thanks  I always weigh out my food! No point counting calories and not being accurate! I went through with one of the PTs at the gym which weight stuff would be best for me, I did once try strong lifts 5x5 and really loved that, but I got to a point where I really needed a friend to spot me, especially with knees…

Sounds good  I have a bit of a scale obsession and have weighed myself daily and more frequently than that in the past, but found that whatever the scale said dictated how happy or sad I was for the day, and that's no way to live. I've decided that I'm only going to weigh myself every 30 days now. I'm on day 13 and…

Amazing difference!!! How much weight did you lose between the two photos? I've just started working out at the gym doing mainly weights and some cardio, I'm hoping I'll have the same sort of results you've had, but I have a feeling I may not lose much weight because of muscle gains! (I'm on high enough calorie intake that…

Yep that's a much more accurate description :D

Chest, back and shoulders are all included in arms day

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone  I have a nice long list of goals now, all exercise and strength related. As for rewards, what I've decided to do is assign each goal with a cash reward from £1 to £15 depending on how hard I think it'll be to achieve. Every week I do my complete exercise regime is also worth…

There's some good ideas there  The problem with most rewards that would work for me is that they cost money and I don't have much of that! Just thought of a great goal, something I was aiming for anyway, but not confident in my ability to do: do not weigh myself more frequently than every 30 days. I suppose it is a…

Yep I'd completed day 2 :) near enough completed day 3 now too! I'm very surprised that I'm not aching much at all, and I am pushing myself enough, I'm struggling to complete the last sets on arm day! I have to be careful with leg day, my muscles are strong and can take greater weights than I'm doing but my knees are bad,…

This is my aim :) I have been feeling really miserable and down the last few weeks and the main change is since mid July I've stopped regular exercise... So if exercise improves my mood maybe it'll finally click!

This is definitely what I wanted to hear  I'm eating around 2000 calories a day, weight training 3 days a week and cardio 2 days a week. Once I've cut down a bit of fat % I want to be doing 4 days weights and 1 day cardio. I wish I could do something like strong lifts 5x5 or new rules but I have rubbish knees and I…

Starting weight: 175lbs (probably more though!) Current weight: 137.5lbs Height: 5'7" I'll be honest how I lost it has varied through out, when I had a lot more spare time I was running and using the gym but now I'm quite busy I don't do much more than light walking! I just always make sure out going calories is more than…

Me too :) wish I'd had these shorts at the start, I doubt they would've gone over my knees! That would've made for a good before and after!
-
Thanks everyone :) I did it by tracking my calories in and out and just making sure a had a deficit! I was doing a lot of running at one point but I haven't had time for it in the last few months! I also try to eat low-ish carb which I found sped up my weight loss a lot! I was a UK size 16 and now am a UK size 10 (so…

I remember taking that first photo, I never knew I had fat on my back because I never really looked! That photo really shocked me at the time! I've lost 34lbs now and I think it must all be off of my back! I no longer get any back rolls :)

This is one of the reasons I worry about doing it... but then there are some styles that suit almost all shapes so are safe, and I'm one of the lucky people who gain all over and lose all over (lucky in that i carry my extra weight well, although unlucky that it takes longer for me to notice weight loss because its so…

Anyone got any photos of their goal outfit? Or a dream clothing item that they want to buy as soon as they reach goal? Would love to see what everyone's tastes are, and maybe get some ideas for my own goal clothing piece :p
