  • Okay, so I am up early this Sunday. Just have to report my weight to you lovely ladies. I now weigh 95.2kgs or 209.4lbs... Now I'm gonna feed my crazy cat before she shreds every news paper and magazine in my bedroom. Have a nice Sunday everybody!
  • Thanks! That meant a lot. I think you can get a varied course at the treadmill as well but that might be only on super high tech ones LOL
  • Ladies!!! Where are you? I went out to to the w3d1 today and it was hard, but it was more mentally challenging than physically. I now know that I am not comfortable running past big crowds, and probably it'll take a long time for me to get there. I almost broke down when I ran past a pub with outdoor seating...felt like…
  • Okay, during my 29 minutes of C25K w3d1 my emotions decided to have some fun. I was happy (on the verge of crying happy), I was so freakin' proud of myself for doing this, I was exhausted after a long shift and because of the heat, the happy and proud feeling turned into shame when I jogged by a pub with outdoor seating. I…
  • After 25h at work I feel tired. Now I've eaten some.... will drink some water - wait a bit and then get out for my first day on the third week of C25K. Really don't wanna do it, but I know I will feel so much better after I'm done... I need that exercise to get my energy levels up. Hope you guys are having a lovely weekend.
  • I run on the road. I've never seemed to get the flow on a treadmill, and all the ups and downs when I run outside is good for building stamina. I have not started any form of hill training yet, but i reckon I'll do that once I'll be able to run for more than 1K straight.
  • Yes, Congratulations Tami! I know gettin' off that particular plateau was more of a psychological struggle for you than it would have been with any other plateau. Jenni. Biking is a truly gentle form of exercise for the joints. And I think you already can do that, but as most things, if we've put up a huge roadblock…
  • Great news that you are off the plateau! Congratulations!! Oh I did not want to run today. Bad weather, bad night with all sorts of strange dreams and just an over all bad mood... But I ran. I bettered my time with one minute (at the moment my distance is 4.2K) even though it was windy, my work called so I had to stop and…
  • Lorri - Good job on completing w3d1 and congrats to the weight loss! As for my morning, I didn't wanna get out of bed. Weather seemed really crappy (dark clouds and 15 degrees) looked like thunder is coming our way - but I knew that if I didn't take that run now I wouldn't do it later today. So out I went. I tried to…
  • Thanks a lot. I will definitely try breathing through my nose and take an allergy pill before my exercise. I run in a VERY green area in this city and with birch, grass and flowers of all kinds my allergy makes it hard for me. Might just be that and not asthma. Well next run I give my nose a try. I am happy we have this…
  • Just take your time!! You'll be back on track in no time... For me, I am between days so today it'll be a long walk and maybe a DVD, but the weather is so nice it would be a shame staying inside!
  • Haha, yeah - breathing like that actually sounds to be harder than breathing slow and steady. Keep in mind I am no mothe so I don't really know how I am supposed to breather, I just watched the movies LOL Today is weigh in day... and I am happy to say I have lost 0.8 kgs this last week. I am now down to 95.2 kgs Today we…
  • Thank you Jenni for that post. It made me chose wisely and not to crawl into bed again after my C25K w2d2. The sun is shining, the apartment needs some cleaning, I need a cup of coffee. There is so much to do. Oh, I will have 5 fast and furious weeks now. I just need to find out how. And I've been thinking on lowering my…
  • Hi y'all! Just finished day 2 of my second week. Something is up with my breathing. Was not too hard on my body but I had a hard time breathing. Hope it'll get better till Thursday. Hope you all are rocking it!
  • It began to seem more and more real to me.
  • Lorri, no that is not too much. A 30 min walk is definitely not to over do it in between days... I am doing w2d2 tomorrow and I can't wait... I seriously love c25k. Best thing ever...
  • That is awesome! I am doing c25k w2d2 tomorrow... I love it - but I am far from running 10K - hopefully I'll be able to this fall. You should b proud of yourself
  • Jenni that is a great plan! My plan is: Monday: Might take a walk if weather allows it Tuesday: C25K w2d2 Wednesday: Long walk to granny (around 8K). Can really use those calories when I visit her./ DVD if the weather is crappy Thursday: C25K w2d3 Friday: 5K walk Saturday: C25K w3d1 Sunday: 6K walk Doesnt look like so much…
  • I totally love your blog!!
  • Haha, i just realized I have 17 lbs to lose in 5 weeks time to meet my goal for this challenge! Like that's gonna happen! :noway:
  • Well I totally get you! Just being able to to what ever you want to do, when ever you want do it - that is freedom :) And a big congratulation on the weight loss. That is awesome! When i visited my uncle yesterday. Mom and I got a heap of clothes from one of his friends. Now I am walking around in my new dress trying to…
  • Congrats on the loss! And to having a friend to run with. It is always easier to push oneself when you run with someone... xx
  • Hi peeps! Today I did w2d1. Felt really good even though i messed up a little with the app in the beginning. Paused it by accident :explode: But it was only in the warm-up session so the result was just an extra long warm-up. Did feel a little from my exertion asthma, but nothing much. had no problems jogging all sessions,…
  • Well I have no clue on what to do. I have gained an enormous amount. I now weigh 96.4kgs or 212.1lbs which means I am almost back where I started 7 weeks ago. But of course I am fitter now than ever before. I know I should be happy I've come this far, but today I just can't see that. And I do eat refined sugars a little…
  • Welcome to all new runners to be. I just need to complain some. I didn't want to do any exercise today but since i knew I'd be over on calories I thought I'd just get it overwith. i put on Jillians Baniish fat Boost metabolism and started the warm up. felt good till my hamstrings said see you later! I have no clue on what…
  • Going just fine. I really need to do some workout tonight. I'd love to do the next day (w2d1) today, but since it is scheduled for tomorrow and I am already running every second day it might not be wise. I totally love running. It is an awesome feeling. My schedule for next week is: M: Tu:W2D2 W: Th: W2D3 F: Sa: W3D1 Su:…
  • Oh sore shins ain't fun at all!! Hope they feel better soon :)
  • Looks good! Repeat as many times you have to. The main thing is to get up from the couch and find a joy in running. Not get off the couch and run 5K on the first attempt. I am scared for starting week 2 in 2 days. But I hope it'll go just fine!
  • Hello peeps!!! Did day 3 today. It felt really good. Didn't get exhausted, but my body seem to produce a little bit too much mucus. I also experienced some exertion induced asthma. Not as much as when I smoked, so i guess it is getting better :drinker: Have a nice Friday people! But take care it is the 13th...
  • That is awesome Claire! I have gained.... we'll see if I can get the same number as last week at the next weigh in, but I doubt it. Been doing day 3 of the C25K today. It felt great! But since I'm an all or nothing kinda girl, I'm daydreaming about races, new shoes and HRMs... not completely sane... have an awesome Friday…
