I work at a doctor's office, so I just use the scale that we have. Is your scale consistent? Do you weigh yourself multiple times in a row to make sure you are getting the same reading? If it fluctuates a lot per each reading, obviously your scale isn't accurate and I would definitely get another one. If your weight is…

Me! I'm 22, and I have about 50lbs left to lose at this point, but I started out with about 85!

Yeah, I'll add my vote to switch to maintenance! Whenever I feel like I'm so over this whole thing, I switch my cals to maintain and I find that I feel significantly less frustrated and I have wiggle room to eat basically whatever I want and still be under my calorie limit. This also helps me when I am feeling frustrated…

I try and add veggies whenever I can because it maximizes the volume of food you can consume in one sitting with very few calories. Also, something I like to do (and I am sure you are already well, well aware of this one ;) is to drink half my Nalgene bottle (about 18oz of water) before I go eat. It satiates my hunger for…

I've only tried two protein powders thus far, but I have to say that I am totally smitten with Pure Protein Plus in French Vanilla. I bought it at Sam's Club for like $20. It has 23g protein, 5g carbs, and 1g sugar. I put it in my pancakes and then they taste like cake. I put it in my mango/strawberry smoothie and it…

Did you take measurements? I have a lot to lose, so I'm not there yet, but I have a friend who eats extremely well, does yoga, is training for a half marathon, and over the past month she lost like 6-7 inches, but only one pound.

Hi! I'm Jennie, twenty-two, and about half-way to my goal. I've been on MFP for 3-4 months; active every day. Feel free to add me!

I used to have a can of Diet Coke 3-4 times a week and in October of last year I decided to stop drinking it cold turkey. Personally, I didn't consider it necessarily bad for me, but I don't think it's all that great for you either, so I stopped drinking it. After two or three days of headaches, all cravings went away and…

I LOVE C25K. I signed up for a 5K at the beginning of May and started training like December 29th or something like that. I've been doing the program for five or six weeks now, but I am currently running week 3. Like everyone else said, go slow! I run the same path every time and I like to measure how much farther I am…

I am 22 and have about 60-80 more pounds to lose. Feel free to add me!

When I signed up for MFP, I chose my activity level as sedentary, because I work at a doctor's office. I got a Fit Bit for Christmas and it turns out that I walk on average 10,000 - 15,000 steps/day, so it was giving me like 1,000 extra calories every day, which was ridiculous. I changed my activity level to lightly active…

Yep! This is me! I really don't like most breakfast foods (except oatmeal), and I tend to want heartier meals than breakfast typically warrants. If I eat right after I wake up I feel sick to my stomach, so I will make my breakfast and eat it when I get to work. I wake up at 7 a.m. and eat sometime between 9 and 10 a.m.

It is entirely possible for some people to lose 15 lbs in two months-- I do. BUT I have about 90 pounds to lose total, so I don't have to fight for every pound like a lot of MFPers do. I would just start dress shopping as is, and if you have to go a size up, you have to go a size up. Take comfort in knowing that your body…

Yeah, I find once people see you losing and losing they want those same results, so they buckle down on their diet and exercise. It's not always long-lived but I have noticed my friends watching what they eat more carefully. I have a friend that saw I wasn't eating sugar and decided to make that her 2014 resolution...we'll…

Yeah, I weigh myself in my underwear first thing in the morning (after I pee). The doctor's scale is probably slightly more accurate than mine, but mine is consistent and no matter if I am 5 pounds heaver or lighter than I think I am, all that really matters is that I am consistently losing. I'd take the doctor's scale…

I only cook for myself, so it's easy for me, but I typically have Greek yogurt on hand at all times (easy to mix in stuff and very filling), cashew/almond butter, raw vegetables, fresh and frozen fruit, BANANAS (I eat at least one a day), garlic hummus, oatmeal (I tried putting it in my protein shakes and I hated it, so…

Overnight oats 1/3 c oatmeal 1/3 c plain, non-fat Greek yogurt 1/3-1/2 c unsweetened almond milk 1/2 banana (I add berries to mine to mix everything up and I also add a spoonful of protein powder) Mix together and leave in a covered container overnight in your fridge. Great to take on the go! I mix 1/2 c plain, non-fat…

YES! The only things I don't weigh before I eat them are lettuce and spinach since they're not going to tip the scale either way (weigh...haha) as far as weight loss goes. I put a lot of higher-calorie additions in my salad to get my macros and I need to be careful I don't eat more than I think I'm eating.

Hi Victoria! I am 22 years old as well and I've struggled with my weight since right around puberty. I was active in HS and then stopped playing sports after I graduated and now here I am! I live in Utah while going to school and I don't use a gym either. The school gym is far too crowded and the other gyms are too…

Welcome back! I am looking to hit my first 30lbs by next week and I've got another 50 after that until I reassess and go from there.

You CAN do this! I like to get and give support from my MFP friends and honestly I can say that it is so much easier having a network of "friends" giving you support and advice and also calling you out when you need it. I'm just knocked out the first 30% of my initial weight loss because MFP makes it so easy to record…

Congratulations on your wedding! When is it? Feel free to add me as a friend, by the way. :)

What I think my ideal size is would probably be a 10 or 12. I'm a 16 right now and i have maybe 90 pounds to go, so while it could potentially be smaller, I don't know that it will if my body is shaped anything like my mom's. I'm not super interested in fitting into a particular pant size though.

Twenty-two!

I'm twenty-two, so we're not too far apart! Anyway, I've been here for about two months now and I find that MFP help me be successful. Feel free to add me! :)

That is awesome about Aetna insurance. I had no idea they did that. Feel free to add me! I'm pretty active! :)

Garlic mashed potatoes are what comes to mind, but honestly SO much. I eat at restaurants 2-3x a week for my job (no avoiding it, unfortunately) and when I first started MFP 75 days ago, I guesstimated by the menu and then would go add later. (SO many places don't have nutritional information!). I was absolutely floored by…

I would like to get into running. I'm running a 5K in May and have plans to run a half marathon in 2015.
