  • Welcome! Good luck with your C25K progam!
  • You can add me! I'm trying to get back in the habit of going for jogs/walks since it's cold now, but I'm pretty active on it. Jennie_Larson is my username. I just began training for a 5K in May and I'm doing the C25K program too!
  • Three months ago I went cold turkey off of my one (occasionally two) can of Diet Coke a day. I don't like drinking my calories, so I don't drink juice, and I'm also a Mormon so I don't drink tea or coffee. I drink tons and tons and tons of water. If you're looking for something to replace your diet soda with, I LOVE the…
  • I use my Fitbit in conjunction with my Nike Run app and my C25K app on my phone. I don't have a heart rate monitor, so I don't know the exact amount of calories I burned, but having those two apps open on my phone with my Fitbit has been pretty helpful. I adore my Nike Run app-- I've used it for almost a year now and it's…
  • Hi! I'm relatively new to this too, but this is what has helped me thus far: 1. Cutting out all sugary things (natural sugar from fruits is okay) 2. Food scale! I just got one and I adore it. It really helps with accurate tracking. 3. Protein for every meal! My doctor told me this and I think it's really helped. I have a…
  • Feel free to add me! I just hit 70 days of tracking and a lot of my friends' news feeds have gone silent. I love seeing other people be successful! It helps me continue on!
  • Thanks for sharing! You look awesome!
  • I want to get to my goal weight in 2014. But goals that are related to that: -Run a mile without stopping -Reach 1,000 miles on my Nike Run app (I'm at 630 now) -Complete C25K -Run a 5K -Complete Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred -Hike Mt Timp (It's a pretty strenuous hike by my house) -Don't eat any dessert for all 2014.…
  • I am 6'0 tall, so a healthy weight range for me is 140 to 180. I'm only about 25 pounds into this journey, but I don't plan on picking an ultimate goal weight. Right now the goal will be to get under 200 and then probably under 180, but once I get close it will be more about how my body looks and feels rather than a weight…
  • $18 from Walmart that converts to grams and ounces. I got it for Christmas, so I haven't used it much yet, but I've definitely been overeating calories. MFP says a 100 gram small apple is 61 calories (that's off the top of my head), so that's what I've been putting in. I weighed the smallest apple I had this morning and it…
  • Cut up banana in unsweetened almond milk with a little whipped cream on top. Also graham cracker and almond butter.
  • I'm gonna get to the weight I want to be in 2014!
  • In October I ate three pieces of cake when I could have very easily just eaten one. So now I am here.
  • Hey that's great! I cut out all sugar for two weeks before I officially started at MFP. Weight Watchers never worked for me, but calorie counting totally does. I eat pretty clean for the most part but knowing the nutritional value of everything I consume keeps me on track and also motivates me to keep trucking on.
  • Welcome! I'm fat too, that's why I'm here. ;)

  • Welcome! I'm 22 and I'm clocking in about 260 these days. I've lost about 25 pounds in the two months I've been here. I think the best tips that I have even though I've got a lot left to lose is to write down EVERYTHING that you consume and to cut out desserts. I haven't had dessert for about 3 months and it works…
  • Feel free to add me! I'm in the US, so it's winter, but I'm still on multiple times a day tracking my calories and I scroll through my news feed then. I'm 22, if age matters to you at all.
  • Welcome back! I don't have a graduation date in mind but I would like to be finished b the time my brother comes home from Germany on August 1. Feel free to add me! My diary is open and I try to comment on milestones and statuses.
  • Gorgeous!! Your body shape before and after are so beautiful. Event at your heaviest, you carried that weight really well!
  • Garden vegetable soup with grilled chicken to the side. The soup is actually a Weight Watchers recipe and I think it is 61 calories/cup. I was skeptical of the great reviews at first, but then I made it and it was phenomenal.
  • I thought it tasted weird at first, but I put it in my protein shakes for added protein and more creaminess Now I eat it with fresh berries and almonds for breakfast as well. It's certainly an adjustment, but now I won't touch the nasty regular Yoplait stuff. Totally worth it!
  • I had to buy new pants around 15 pounds, however the ones that I was wearing were slightly too big to begin with. Currently I have dropped one pant size and on Black Friday I bought three new pairs of jeans on sale.
  • Eat three pieces of cake instead of one and then be horrified of the fact that that wasn't an abnormal occurance. That's how I got going. Also, two weeks before I started officially counting calories, I cut out sugar and all sodas. Breaking myself from a steady stream of real and fake sugars helped me quite a bit.
  • I'm the OP, but I thought I'd comment anyway. I've lost 20lbs and those close to me can tell, and I can definitely tell when I'm naked. I've also dropped a size in jeans. I've had two or three comments here and there, but those were mostly in the beginning. I think I have 10-15 more to lose before people will really be…
  • Hi! I am also 22 and I have about 90 pounds left to lose until I hit my goal weight. I'm 6'0 tall and weigh 260 right now and I want to eventually be 170. Feel free to add me! My diary is open to friends and I try to leave supportive comments for my MFP friends. I've lost 20 pounds thus far and am so excited to continue.…
  • I know most MFP'ers say you can still eat your sugar if it fits in your calorie goals, but honestly I swear by cutting out all desserts 100%. I've been doing that for about 3 months ago and the sugars I crave are the natural ones I put in my protein shakes by way of frozen fruit. Absolutely no desserts was as hard as hell…
  • Hey, it happens to the best of us. Drink a ton of water today and maybe plug in an extra 15 minutes on the treadmill? The most important part is that you are continuing in spite of your binge. :)
  • I eat a lot of protein shakes with frozen fruit in them, so that's normally how I get my sweet tooth fix. Sometimes I have two Honeymaid graham crackers for 130 calories. Once in a while I'll go to the local fro yo shop and get sugarless Blueberry fro yo for 33 calories/ounce and then top it with fresh fruit and 1-2…
  • Awesome! Such a great feeling!
  • You can add me! I've been at this for 1.5 months now, so not for terribly long, but long enough that a good handful of my MFP friends have become rather quiet. I love following along with other people's progress!
