I'm 6', 300, 42, male and eat 1880 kcal a day to lose 2 #'s a week. I also get about 10000 steps in a day, but do not eat that back.

See above response. I eat 1800 cals a day, and lose 1.5 pounds a week. If I were to eat more cals, surely I would lose less. I do eat back my exercise cals (minus 15%) when I go on the elliptical.

I do have neg cals enabled. I could write a whole book here, but this is my second time around losing weight. First time the weight just fell off. Now, not so much. If I eat the 1800 cals a day, I lose about 1.5 a week. If I eat more cals then I'd probably lose less, that is why I still have it as sedentary.
-
I will do that, thanks!

I'm set up to lose 2 pounds per week. I weigh 300 pounds. I have it set at sedentary lifestyle. MFP has me at 1880 calories. I walk about 10000 steps a day, and Fitbit gives me about 1200 EXTRA calories to eat a day. No way would that work.

I plateau for the longest times. I was eating 2000 cals, and not losing. I was eating 1800 + my exercise cals and not losing. I am now eating 1800 and not losing. If I eat my maintence cals, I gain. I have a spreadsheet with my weign ins on it. I am working on adding more data to it. Cals eaten that week. Exercise cals.…

My issue is I lost 100 pounds, and never ate "step" calories back. When I did cardio, I wore a Polar strap and ate those cals back. But in the last 4 years I've gained almost all of the weight back, but I've been on my diet almost all of the time. I would eat a 1000 cal deficit, but maintain my weight. I'd get frustrated…

Ok folks, new issue. Previously I was using my Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge (Samsung Health) to count steps and intergrate with MFP. Yesterday, I bought a fitbit. Issues now. I realize that fitbit takes into account heart rate and Samung Health doesn't, but here is my issue. On Saturday, with Samsung Health, 7520 steps = 531…

I guess my thing is, if I workout on elliptical and eat those cals back, I feel ok about it. But if I take 8000 steps in a day, I feel like I don't deserve to eat all the step cals back. Like, everyone has to walk and some of those steps should be part of the daily goal already. I think my plan will be to eat back half of…

Here is my excel spreadsheet for weight lost: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ndq44gj3gekryiq/Weight.ods?dl=0

Perfect. Did you look at my diary? I weigh about 310 pounds right now. I am 6 feet tall. Male, 41 years old. MFP tells me to eat 1940 cals a day to lose 2 pounds a week. I avg 1700-1900 a day, and have plateued. I lost 10 pounds the first 8 weeks, and now nothing.

I do not measure anything in cups. I weigh everything. It may show up as cups, but that is because that is the mfp entry I used. Still same calorie count. Can you give me an example of what you are seeing? Also, I hardly ever eat out. I don't know where you are seeing this. I eat out maybe 1 time a week? And yes, I weigh…

Thanks to all for the comments, I do truly appreciate the time you took to respond. I know you are all trying to help. Hopefully I didn't come off as unappreciative, or a know it all. I think my net steps will be eating healthier food, less sugar, and try to get my macros in line. Add back some cardio, and get in to see a…

Very stressed. Not so much right now, but still am. I lost my job of 24 years last June and was unemployed until June this year. That is when I gained 55 pounds back.
-
Thank you. The last time at the drs (maybe 2 years ago), all of my tests came back terrefic. At that I point I was 250 but was platuead for like 3 months. I'll go back to the dr and get a wellness exam.

It took a lot for me to even begin this thread. I knew exactly what everyone was going to say. I guess I was hoping people that maybe had have similar stories with mine would be able to give me constructive help. Eat less this, eat more this. Dont eat at this time. Eat more breakfast. Exerecise more. Something helpful. Not…

Thanks. I do know I eat too much crap food, and too much sugar. Maybe that is the issue, by body is not happy with the macros I am consuming.

I'll have to list them later. I don't have the info with me. How come there is no "button" when I click on someones name to view their logs?

When I would use elliptical, I would use whatever myfitness pal would schedule me to eat. So if my goal was 1800, and I exercised and burned 500 cals, I would eat 2200 cals. Always left 100 cal cushion. I think I started at like 2000 cal at my heaviest, and when I was down to 225 it was 1500? a day I was scheduled to eat.…
-
I will add that I used to use my elliptical for 30 mins a day, and ate back all but 100 exercise cals. I don't use the elliptical much anymore. Could part of the issue be my heart rate isn't going high enough? I don't think it would, but just at a loss.
-
thanks! I know people are trying to help and give the best advice they can, but it's almost like people think I am lying or cheating or don't know what I am doing. I may not eat the best foods, but I track EVERYTHING. I wonder if being on a diet for 5 years just has screwed things up. Where can I get my base rate tested? I…

Thanks. Like I said, I've done this before. I plan out meals days in advance. I use nutrion form labels. I log everything, down to the 5 cal mustard on my sandwhich. I measure everything. This is why it is so frustrating, because I know all of the things to do.
-
I AM eating this amount. I have no reason to lie. This is beyond frustrating. Like I said, I lost 100 pounds "easy" the first year. Now I cannot. I don't eat the best foods, and probably eat too much sugar, but have cut way down. I don't want the reason to be medical, but something isn't right.
-
I don't want something to be wrong medically, but perphaps someone might have medical insight. If you have ideas on approach, give em to me. For the last 2 week, I have not included exercise cals for eating. So between 1700-2000. Before, I was eating back half of exercise cals. I am set up as sedentary lifestyle.. It says…

I'm male, 41, 6' 1",currently 316.8 pounds. Would like to get to 240 or even 250. I don't think I'll ever get below 200. I got down to 226 the first time. I get that I am losing weight, but 3.6 pounds in 4 weeks, when should have been 8 pounds is what gets me. 4 weeks ago I was not working unemployes, sitting around almost…

I am accurately logging everything, beleive me. That's why this is so confusing and frustrating. In 2013/14 I lost 93 pounds in about 50 weeks. I am doing nothing different now, it just doesn't want to come back. In the last 4 weeks I lost 1.8, 0.2, 1.6, and now 0. That's why I am wondering if I was eating too few cals and…
-
I guess I was lucky. It was pretty close to 2 pounds per week. Maybe 1.4 1 week, but then 2.4 or 2.6 or 2.8 the next. It was like clockwork. Now though its 1.2, 1.6, 1.8, 0, 2.2. I am using the steps from my phone, and am syncing with MFP. So like yesterday I took 4254 steps but it added 359 exercise cals. Think I should…

Oh, I know a week isn't long enough. I am very diligent about counting everything and weighing. Just frustrating when the first time around it was like clockwork. Lost nearly 2 pounds per week. But then each time trying to diet afterwards it would not come off the same way. It would be 1 pound, or zero, or maybe 2. I am…
