I wear a weight vest with just 10lbs. I burn about 20-30% more calories with it! I wear my HRM and have done a lot of different experiments. It definitely makes a difference. Makes you stronger! I have a friend who wears a 40lbs vest and it's made him a lot stronger.

Do you have a Costco Membership? Check with them, they sell this brand Northrock. They don't always have them in stock. I don't know much about the frame, but the components are all pretty good. Plus, it's Costco so you can easily return it if it's no good. They will have all the exercise/health equipment right after Xmas…

My sister found a recipe for cauliflower crust (gluten free obviously). It wasn't like a traditional crust, but it was crispy and had a good taste. I think she made it, baked it, and then put the toppings on and baked it some more. If you're want to go for something different and healthy, look it up I'm sure you'll find it…

Good deal on Amazon only $54 - http://bit.ly/polarh7

Which Polar model did you get? I've been using the H7 with the iCardio/Digifit app. It's a great combo. If you only care about Calories burned, then this will be accurate enough. I really don't know what beta blockers have to do with it. I don't concentrate so much on calories burned any more. Now it's about minutes in the…

3-5 times a week for 2 weeks and you'll be back in the game

I use the Polar H7 Heart Rate Monitor with the iCardio/DigiFit app. I wearit when I do all exercise. Just throw it on when you get to the gym, shut it off when you're done. Log it as a custom entry "Cardio and Weights" Also there is a new fitness band out called the Amiigo. It will recognize the different exercises you do…

Get yourself a good heart rate monitor with a chest strap. I've been using the Polar FT7 for a couple of years and I really like it. I recently upgraded to the Polar H7 which is blue tooth so it can sync to my phone. What I like about the H7 is that it also will sync to my FT7 watch and to a lot of the gym equipment (if…

Try a specialty gym that focuses on High Intensity Interval Training. Do you have Orange Theory Fitness near you? Look around on Group On/Living Social for some deals in CrossFit gyms or Boot Camps. You may have plateaued. Changing it up may reset you and start you on a new weight loss. Also, don't eat back all your…

I just got the same one. Try iCardio - Digifit, you'll pay the $4 to upgrade it to support HRM. I like the data I get. I like to see my heart rate in the different zones and calories burned etc. Also, it syncs with MyFitnessPal and will automatically send your workout to your exercise diary! WIN WIN!

Cardio, cardio, cardio. Cut back your carbs, lots of water, lots of veggies. Add some strength training, muscle burns more calories than fat! And then follow that up with some more cardio!
-
Get some High Intense Interval Training (HIIT) in there. Your time jogging/running will be more effective if you get your Heart Rate up in bursts. While you're doing your circuit training, mix in some burst of cardio like: 10 Burpees Jump Rope for 1 minute Jump Squats High Knees/Butt Kicks Don't be embarrassed to do these…

Most of these fitness trackers simply track movement and correlate calories burned to it. In my opinion, they're not very accurate. If you shake your wrist for example you will log movement, but are you really burning calories. You get steps and other little motivations. They're very popular now. Fitbit leads the pack,…

Step it up! You've plateaued. Try Boot Camp classes or Cross Fit. Use MEET UP to find other classes at other gyms. There's a lot of groups out there who have free classes and they can be a lot of fun. Try bike riding, swimming, running, hiking, etc. Change it up!

Return whatever you got and get a Polar. I use a Polar FT4. Today I worked out for 80 minutes doing running, weight lifting, and other gym activities. I burned over 800 calories according to my Polar. To me that seems about right. A normal person is going to do around 100 calories every 10 minutes or so. Give or take…

80!! HAHAHA!! I was Mt Biking in 95 degree weather on Sunday! (I live in Phoenix, the jump off point to Hell). Start early, really early (like crack of dawn). The hottest part of the day is actually about 4pm, so you're better off in the AM than in the evening. Drink a lot of water. Drink water before you begin to…

Your stomach looks good. But maybe the fat isn't in your gut anymore? How are your arms, butt, thighs, etc. Get a DUNK TANK body fat measurement done. Find out what your body fat % is! That may help you figure out what you need to do next. I lost 40lbs and thought I was pretty skinny, then I had a body fat % test done and…

Sunshine, come check out to the Amiigo Users Group we have on Facebook! Lots of good info, and yes, it seems more and more, it looks like it's going to be awesome! Now if we can get them to integrate Amiigo with MFP, that will be great! https://www.facebook.com/groups/645343175541140/

Why would you use canned tomatoes when you could use fresh? Fresh is always better than in a can.

Not to toot my own horn, by my Guac is LITERALLY Award Winning. It's won a couple of contests! I will share. 2-3 Hass Avocados. (from California is the best, or from Mexico, if you can only get them from Chile, then forget it, don't waste your time.) 3 roma tomatoes (diced) 1/3 of a red onion (finely diced) large handful…

I have the LG Tone+. They're not super rich bass or anything, but can get loud if you want them to. They stay put, are comfortable. Only issue I have is if I do sit ups or other HORIZONTAL type exercise they come off. But for jogging, riding etc, they are great. They were cheap too. I caught a sale on Amazon for $45.…

That app is kind of a joke. It only tells you steps and estimates calories burned. If you want something, look at a Nike Fuel Band, or FitBit, or Body Media. These devices will track your activity and you don't have to KEEP your phone on you all the time. If you want to know calories burned while you work out, look into a…

Use that INCLINE setting on your treadmill. 15 Degrees, 4MPH, see how long you can keep that up?? Squats, lunges, core, back. Yoga, Pilates, All good! Are you talking about a long hike or something? You going to the Grand Canyon? or just a few miles? I hike every weekend, I see people out there doing a 5 mile hike who…

Get a Polar Heart Rate Monitor, wear it, you will know how many calories you burn when you work out. Sometimes, MFP is very close to my calories burned when I use mine, But other times, it's WAY off!…

Is that extra from a workout? If so, then I would only eat back about 1/2 of that. It'f it's extra because you just didn't eat much, then obviously something healthy. I would go with protein and veggies, no carbs. It is ok, not to eat 100% of your goal. Once in awhile, couple days a week, not a big deal.

Get a Polar FT4 heart rate monitor. Your Calorie Burn is based on your effort, respiration, heart rate, etc. The FitBit/Nike Fuel, etc isn't REALLY that accurate for calories burned. Plus the Polar FT4 is cheaper than the others.

You need the strap. The strap is what listens to your heart rate, the pod sends the single to your watch. If your was old, then get the new one anyway. My old one died, and the new one was a lot better (different design).

It means your heart is strong and you need to work harder! Bump it up to 6.5-7MP. Or Increase your elevation, try 3 or 6 degrees. Also, try holding a 2.5lb dumbbell in each hand when you jog. Also look into a weighted vest (Walmart $45). You'd be amazed what adding 5-10lbs to your body weight does to your heart rate. When…
