Failed at 75. Got some fractal plates, went down to 65 and will be at 75 for my workout tomorrow. Given how i did at 72.5, i should blow through it without any problems. I've learned that failing is really how you make your gains. Drop the weight, refine your technique and hit it stronger moving forward.

Given that Monsanto holds the PATENT on all soy crops created in this country, you won't find any soy products that aren't GMO. That is enough to keep me far away from it.

I read alot of excuses in your post. If you DO work out I guarantee you'll be glad you did.

Great for her, that's awesome! Though I'll have to disagree on the generalization about low calorie diets. There is more than one way to skin a cat...

Definitely a big victory. Way to go!

I'm currently in a high end NYC hotel with no fitness center and it's snowing pretty heavy outside. Thankfully I've got my P90X DVD's with me. Nerdfitness.com did a piece a few months ago on "hotel room" workouts using existing room furniture to perform exercises. It made me realize that there's always SOMETHING you can be…

I don't know about your particular program, but I'm in the middle of P90X right now which is a 6 day a week HIGH INTENSITY program. My 7th day is for 3 hours of college-level baseball so there's no real reason to do anything else.

I surround myself with people who have like interests - like eating healthy and being active. They're the best friends I could ask for!

Eating clean is a success story within itself. So many benefits to it!

Nice work. I hit a good milestone this week hitting 174lbs which officially put me in the "normal" weight category for BMI. I've still got 14lbs to go but it's nice to get into the green zone. I'm in my 4th week of P90X which has made a HUGE difference. Really stoked on the strength gains in the short amount of time.

I'm a big fan of the Nerd Fitness crew. Thanks!

You can do it. It's your choice. Choose to get up.

Hey Guys, Been trying to stay on track as much as possible since our little boy arrived three weeks ago. So far it's been OK and I started P90X this past Sunday. Eating pretty good and exercising a lot but it seems weight loss has stalled at 177. The good news is that my energy level is really good and as hard as the work…

85% of my physical activity is through running. Trying to get to 20 miles per week right now from 15, running 4-5 days. Feel free to add me. Who says you can't run from your problems?!?!

I agree with this as well. What has also helped me is thinking of my "weakmess" foods in terms of how much exercise. For example, a bag of peanut M&M's are about a 2.25mi run to burn off. I quickly began processing that in terms of my ROI for junk food and helped me think differently about how valuable those foods are.

Hey Guys, Would love to get in on this. I started MFP 4 weeks ago and lost just under 6lbs since, though I started my weight loss program back in November and have loss 14lbs overall. My Goal is to get down to 155-160 and then put on some lean mass. I've always been kind of scrawny and what they call a "hard-gainer". I've…

I definitely prefer outdoors but sometimes it's not practical. I just got back into running a few months ago after a prolonged injury kept me away. The treadmill allowed me to work my cardiovascular strength up and extend some distance before heading out into the "real world". Additionally, my gym let's me drop off my 3…

Nice work! Maybe it might be better to do less intense and longer if you're having that much stress on your knees. Also what type of cardio are you doing? Maybe moving to an elliptical or stair machine might help.

Maybe she forgot to take off the ankle weights? :-p

Ahhh... Finally found a place for guys. Been sifting through threads full of the women since I started a few weeks ago. I've been linking my Fitbit with MFP and so far it seems great. Looking to lose about 30lbs to improve my running and baseball. The biggest challenge is my wife is due with our second child in the next…
