Since I am going through a rough patch right now, the fact that you 'fell off the wagon" a few times is really important for me to know. Also to see that you didn't over complicate the exercise. It's easy for me to get totally overwhelmed by my perceived failures on here. Thank-you. Thank-you. Thank-you!!!

Been there, done that. --12 Step Programs for years.....I won' t say that about myself anymore. :noway: Focus on the solution, not the problem. I'm not saying to ignore the problem, just give more of your energy to defining your path to success. When we say " you can do it" to each other every day, we are really countering…

Coffee, black or with skim milk.

Sounds like too much too fast to me. I am older though, so my perspective may be skewed. Lots of warm up time and stretching and drinking lots of water? If the muscles are hurting from new exercise, they may be very tight and can get injured in that state, so lots of stretching or yoga might help. Is she taking every other…

Me 12 :drinker: Binge: 3 :noway: Not really eating well since my last binge day. Can't seem to get my self organized and focused. Spring Break was rough, but it's over officially as of today so hopefully my life can go back to normal. The only failure is giving up  Here's to a binge free week for all of us:drinker:

It was pretty hard not to binge today, but I've realized that although for me it is always a super emotional event that triggers the initial binge that breaks a binge-free run, it is the habit/addiction of it that I fall back into. Its a bit like quitting cigarettes [/quote/] This!! This is really true for me. I posted…

What a difference!! You look great and so very healthy! I started at 255, so your success is particularly inspiring to me. Thanks:heart:

Bump. I need some information about this too.

Mine looks like the dog in my profile pic. German shepherd mix. He really does watch every bite unless I chase him away :grumble:

Thank you!!! I grab any stray dogs I can catch, they are so vulnerable out there alone. Mine is a rescue - from the Bureau of Animal Control. He definitely showed signs of having been abused. Spoiled now. Begging for his walk as I type:tongue:

Depends on how severely you are planning to cut back your carbs. You can tell her, but if you are doing it too much, you will get that lecture everyone is referring to. Mine was very upset with me and told me all kinds of horror stories about how my kidneys would fail.. and etc.I was doing really well on it and it really…

You are doing great!! I understand how hard it is when people we care about are not supportive...I also come from a family that eats for fun:tongue: It's hard. The best thing you could do is get her excited with you so you can go eat healthy together!! Or maybe even exercise together. Since she is pregnant, she may be more…

Go Diane!! You are rocking:drinker: Any advice for the rest of us???

You are right about me, I am way older than you, but there are lots of people your age on here and, like you said, we all share the same goals, no matter what age:wink: I have a lot of weight to lose, so I plan to be here for a long time. If you stay with this, you will be too!! I will support you in any way I…

I did ten days twice. Lost a pound a day so, 20 pounds. Felt great while fasting! Gained it all back  It really works to permanently change eating habits for some like my neighbor who did 60 days twice:tongue: But for me, it wasn't the right thing. I still follow Joe Cross, the Reboot guy from "Fat, sick and nearly…

Some people lose their appetites after exercise, but I get ravenous!! I really feel the calorie deficit the work out produces. I also feel a bit shaky and the blood sugar drop. Definitely eat your exercise calories back for now. I have been eating protein and fat for breakfast since I workout in the morning and that is…

Nornyb is right! How quickly just one more day turns into a year and you will look back and feel horrible because you KNOW how to do this. I totally get that re-starting is hard. Those old habits seem to always be there waiting to take over our eating patterns. I have been there recently. What is working for me is to eat…

I have a huge problem with night time eating. Mine is late night and into the next day eating. There is another support group for late night snacking which deals more with overeating at night, not binging. I found that a great group because it got me to realize that often I was not actually binge eating, I was just "over…

Feb. binges - 5 Just reviewed my last month of posts on here.. so helpful to see my patterns!! March: Me: :drinker: 4 the Binge:devil: 1 Previously I defined a binge for myself as eating 3000 calories over my goal. It is so helpful to me to have done that because I ate a lot one day and really was looking at it as a binge,…

Hi Everyone!! I'm having a much better day today. Need to get to bed at a reasonable hour so I don't get into trouble with that. Still have 2 veggies to eat before bed so I should be okay, ,since today I am actually eating those veggies............:ohwell: I have the opposite problem from freertobe.....If I don't count…

Wow, where did everybody go??? It's cool. I just went back and re-read the whole thread and am feeling better:smile: Ugly two days of binging. I even made my diary private today because I wasn't going to log it all unless I did...I think that might be a bad sign. I just feel like making myself tell everyone everything I…

Hi Eat 2to live2run, Like the name... Your system sounds interesting. Something tangible as a reward is a good thing and writing what is going on is also helpful. I have also recently had some horrid days... today for instance... so, I need to find new ideas to help get me back on track. I have been wanting to rent a cabin…

Hi there! I have a medication my doc gave me for whenever I need it. It's called Klonopin and is for anxiety, but she prescribed it to make me go to sleep so I will stop eating at night. The trouble is I often think I am okay, then I have eaten quite a bit before I get to take it and give it time to take effect:ohwell: It…
