My first post! I'm 48, 49 next week, and I haven't had any problem losing weight. I started at 170, 5'1", and lost 35 pounds so easily. 1.5-2 pounds a week. It's slowed down a little, but that's my fault. I'm less strict with my calories than I used to be, so I just changed my goals to .5 from 1 pound a week. I sort of do…

I'm 5'1", SW 170, CW 138, GW 125. I have a large frame (going by wrist size) and at 138, while still overweight, I'm starting to lose in parts of me I don't want to, and I don't want to lose too much, so I think 125 will be fine with me. I'm 48. If I were younger, I might pick a smaller size.
