  • I have sandwiches and raw veggies a lot, but I also make a big batch of soup on Sundays. The soup makes 12+ servings and my husband and I use it for lunches. I make a wide variety. Easy, healthy, relatively cheap, and delicious! Throw in a small piece of bread and some fruit and you have a great meal.
  • How many hours a day are you dancing? With what intensity? If it is significant, you are still eating far too few calories. You probably gained because your body was telling you something - it was not getting enough fuel and now it is trying to hang onto it.
  • It's not working because you are currently at an ideal weight for your body. If you try to go down to 103 at 5'7, your body will think it is starving itself. Any medical or health site will tell you that at 5'7 103 is in the unhealthy range. Please don't try to lose that much - you will completely screw up your metabolism.…
  • I grew up in a city, but loved the variety in NH - I can be in a city, at the ocean, or the mountains within a short drive. If you NEED to live in a major city, NH may not work. But, it CAN if you are from a big city. To each their own.
  • Me! I love it here.....moved here after college. I left for two years when my husband was in grad school, and we have been back for ten years now. I am in Manchester.
  • Weekly, under the same conditions. Too many variables day-to-day. Prefer a weekly touch base.
  • Stick to one weekly weigh-in. Do it at the same time each week, under the same conditions. I do it first thing Monday morning, after I use the bathroom and before I get dressed. Otherwise you will drive yourself nuts with the little daily fluctuations.

  • I woudl make sure you re doing strength training to tone up and build muscle, which will up your metabolism. I did take a look at your diary, and you seem a bit low on fiber - could you add in more fruits and veggies? I think you are right that you are a bit low on protein. Peanut butter is a good source, but also loaded…
  • I know! All I had on my device was that photo when I set the profile. That was taken in mid-December after a haircut. I wish you guys were right. When I stepped on the scale when starting, it read 200...gah! I am 6' tall. I usually don't carry extra weight in my face. My goal is to get between 160-165, or, 40 for 40 years!
  • I had success with WW twice, and then tried on-line, but did not find it as effective. I figured I would give this a try, and so far so good. I miss the "free" fruits and veggies, but, in reality the concept is the same - smart choices, accountability, support, and MOVE!
