That sounds wrong. How did you determine your body fat?
-
It's 210 calories of vegetables! Don't worry about it! :)
-
What's your diet like?
-
Yes. Reminds me of something I saw earlier today: I'm a college student and a lot of people can be super judgmental about others who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle.
-
I'm only a student but if I were meeting with a client in my supervised practice, this is how I would have addressed the questions. Q: Is starvation mode real and at what point does it kick in? A: "Starvation mode" is how the body responds to prolonged periods of reduced caloric intake. True physiological starvation…

I had tempeh pan-fried with BBQ sauce, and a salad with dried cranberries and vinaigrette dressing.

Like, it's ridiculous to tell someone you MUST workout for an hour a day, six days a week. That is a flat-out lie.
-
I'm in school to be a dietitian and I've observed a number of different dietitians counseling clients. I've just never heard RDs give advice like that, and I probably would have answered all those questions very differently.
-
Yeah that's where I lost the most inches! I never thought I'd have a waist smaller than 30" but now I do :) Anyone who has questions about my diet or anything.. let me know and I'm happy to talk to you.
-
Yeah that's what I thought too lol but I just wanted to clarify.
-
I like it! Not my favorite but it's good every once in a while. See if you can find some that's a roasted red pepper flavor, that's one of the best, in my opinion.
-
Did you see a "nutritionist" or a registered dietitian?
-
I love Insanity. I just finished it and got good results, look at my pics :)
-
Just ordered the book and it should be arriving today :) I'm not at all new to lifting but I like how this program seems to be structured. Excited to get started!
-
Thanks everyone! If you make the commitment to stick to the workout program and eating right it's definitely worth it! :)
-
What product are you talking about? I used to buy CocoaVia chocolate bars at my grocery store but they were not $35 lol
-
Love chia seeds, I put them in my oatmeal every morning! Here is the nutrition label off the Spectrum brand (what I buy)

You've lost 3.5 lbs - totally reasonable amount to lose in a month. You aren't doing anything wrong.
-
Well technically right now I work as a cashier and barista at a cafe, lol. But I'm in school to be a registered dietitian. And I am also planning to become a certified personal trainer through ACSM :)
-
I'm a recovering binge eater/bulimic. Add me if you like :) I am very willing to talk about my experiences and what has helped me.

I love oatmeal!!! Oatmeal with pumpkin and maple syrup, oatmeal with banana and peanut butter, oatmeal with warm blueberries and almond butter.... I could go on and on. I just use plain rolled oats (1/2 cup) and add a bunch of mix-ins/toppings. I nearly always mix in cinnamon and chia seeds to start, then build off of that.
-
Lol love it. Women have got to stop being afraid of lifting and getting "bulky"!!!
-
I eat cereal every night. I stay within my calorie goal so I don't think it's a problem.
-
I love chia seeds!!!! I add a tbsp to my oatmeal every morning. But it's only 60 kcal per tablespoon according to the nutrition label on the bag I have in my pantry.
-
Nuts are good, but yeah, there are much better sources of protein if you're trying to get a "high protein" snack! Thanks for posting. Although I guess I don't agree that they are overrated altogether.
-
Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, baked tofu. Yogurt isn't high in sugar at all though! Just don't buy the kind with "fruit on the bottom" or lots of sweetener in it. Get the plain variety.
-
Completely forgot to post those! Results listed in order from today (most recent fit test) to my first one :) I saw consistent improvement each time, except with the suicide jumps today... I was pushing myself pretty hard on the previous exercises and I think I was starting to get worn out lol. 1. Switch Kicks - 131 - 120…

And giving a silly response might make the other person realize it was a silly question to ask in the first place.
-
I can't believe someone would straight up ask if you are anorexic. That's quite an assumption to make. I'm sure it's difficult to hear things like that, but I think the best thing to do is just clear up their misconceptions. Let them know you're achieved your weight loss in a healthy way. If it's only coming from people…
