I've been working with a dietician since just before Christmas and she allows me one day a week where I don't have to be as strict. If I want that slice of tasty cheese on my sandwich I can, full fat mayo on a salad, or that piece of chocolate. I find I get more pleasure from a couple of small treats being incorporated…

4 bean mix and heaps of roasted/grilled/bbqed veggies have been my saviours.

All my anti depressants made me gain weight but tried seroquel and actually started to lose weight, unfortunately I always felt high though.

That you could tell a person was really fat when their hands were fat. That I was too fat to ever lose the weight without surgery.
-
Breaking it down like that actually helps the idea of exercise look a little more achievable.

Thank you. This is a lot more enjoyable than doing it Aline, especially when your friends don't offer the support you would expect. They wonder how someone can let themselves get thus way, but it's not always a consious choice, the choice tochange it is however, it's a choice I want to make but am struggling to. Food…

This sounds great...any idea of the calorie amount per serving? or a subsitute for the pasta nests, dont think I've seen them here in aust

boredoms a big one for me,my partner works a lot of nights and I find on the nights that his not home i often go midnight snacking

I'm trying to swap late night eating for exercize, I find that once I've exercized I no longer have the urge to eat.
-
So day one down... early wakeup, oats then an up and go for morning tea (was starving by this stage, not usually much of a morning eater). No bread all day :) Pasta for dinner though so there goes that one.

I would avoid cheat days as people tend to over indulge and ruin any of the good work they've achieved all week. That being said, maintaining a 1p per week loss is great work! It's already been suggested trying to work in a treat into your calorie allowance. I'll do small things like a slice of low fat cheese on a…

will take a look now... I've heard a lot about some of the DVD programs but moneys a bit of an issue so this sounds perfect!

I can remember the years (up until I was 16) that I was doing Karate and could do 100 push ups without breaking a sweat, now I can barely do 2! Definatley like the idea of being able to do them again.

This gives me hope =) Amazing work!

The app is definatley fantastic, I find it gives me no excuses to not log, and I can check calories on the go!

I actually find these forums a bigger motivation than anything else. I'm starting again currently but have used this site earlier on in the year and if I found myself to be tempted to get off track I'd jump on here and often get distracted for hours, as I have again tonight!

I'm not a big water drinker... in fact I hate it unless its bottled, straight out of the fridge and a really hot day. I've set myself a goal this week of drinking only water and Pepsi max (1 serve a day only) which I hope then to be able to extend indefinitely. The one thing I've found in the past that really works for me…

I have a nasty habit of doing the exact same thing. This time I'm starting off by not counting calories. I've decided to pick a couple of the bad habits that I know make a huge impact on my daily calorie intake and focus on swapping them out of my diet. So no more sugary soft drink and juice, and only water and pepsi max.…

New to this... but looking for something small to get me started. 1) Water and pepsi max only - no other softdrink/juice which I drink way too much of. Breakfast EVERY morning, oatmeal or an up and go on the mornings that I don't have time. 2) No fast food at all this week. I work next to a supermarket, so there is no…

Thanks for the advice =)

Will definitely set my MFP ticker after I've written this, my first goal would be to weigh in under 100kgs which I haven't done in over 2 years. Whilst its only 13kgs I've never been able to shift more than the first 5 and would bring me out of the morbidly obese category. Quantities of food seem to be a big issue for me,…

Night time binging is the main cause of my rather large amount of weight gain over the past few years. I was pretty seriously depressed and remember stopping past maccas or hungry jacks on my way home from work (anywhere between 9pm-1am), crawling into bed with a movie and pigging out on burgers, nuggets, fries, extra…

Did you take cleaning into consideration when you decided on your daily activity? If it's anything out of the ordinary then definitely log it, anything that gets you moving and gets your heart rate up is exercise.
-
The smallest thing can make a difference... If you work in an office get up regularly and walk around, you should do this not only for exercise but to be following good ohs. What would you normally do for you breaks? Why not take a walk instead of eating at a desk or table. Get up a bit earlier in the morning, take your…

Not a whole lot right now...my partners very supportive but his always said from day one that he find girls from about a size 12-16 most attractive. I was a size 12 when we met but was nearing a size 20. In the last couple of years theres really only been one standout occasion. I was really down and talking to another male…

I think that anything that gets your moving and gets your heart rate up would be beneficial.

Definitely see your doctor and maybe review your calorie intake, you might be eating too few calories to sustain your bodies energy needs. As for the milk and cocopops, any chance you had a bad one off experience with it thats influencing what you feel now?

congrats!
