Good for you! You are looking just amazing! :)

Great job! Is that a BodyBugg on your arm? I have one too - adore it!

That is so wonderful! I know a lot of us hope to influence our families to pay more attention to their health, but that doesn't always happen. They must be seeing changes in you, not just your weight - maybe your energy, self-confidence and all of those other things that go with a healthier lifestyle - that made them want…

What a great story! Thank you for sharing :)

Thank you! That's perfect! They are just coming in season here and we'll be out picking this weekend :)

I don't think my waist has ever been below a 28. But I never measured myself at my tiniest in high school either, so not sure. As of 3/31 though they were 36-30-40 and I'm 5'3, 154lbs. I would love to be 36-28-38. Especially the hips smaller since that is def'ly my flabby area, but running has been helping. Pam

Forgot about that! Thanks!

LOL! That's funny :)

I love that one too :) I also like anything by Girl Talk - they are old school songs remixed.

He has a great blog that I read daily. Very funny, motivational guy.

Good for you! That'd be hard, but maybe you can make the iPad a goal reward?

Sounds delish!

Men! Haha, sorry. I've been on a Salt n' Pepper kick lately. Beer for me too. Especially on hot days like today, and like you, I don't drink light beers. I love microbrews, seasonals and such. I even found this cool one called Midas that's made from recipes they used over 2700 years ago, so it's kinda ....*sigh* Never…

I have a BodyBugg that I compared to Fitbit and HRM before choosing it. The reason I got the BB was because, like the FitBit, I can wear it all the time, even to sleep, and get the EXACT amount of calories I'm burning. (Not just during workouts like a HRM.) The Fitbit seemed to me like more of a fancy pedometer. It only…

2 of my favorite things - can't wait to try it!! Pam

I bought some from Netrition too and LOVE it. It's great for everything from sandwiches to making an Asian-type stir fry. (A little soy sauce, chicken stock, ginger, garlic, sesame oil and Splenda/sugar). Also something I learned is that if you're going to make a PB&J out of it, mix it directly with the jelly, not with…

Congratulations!! And you look great! Pam

LOL @ Mom! I love me some recipes :) Now if it's any good, it'll show yours in there too!

What a great idea! I hadn't thought about using fish for the 'buffalo' thing.

We just read it last month and are working on it also :)

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I recently got the BodyBugg and found out that I burn barely any more calories all day at work than I do sleeping! And I'm not getting any activity at all, of course. So I've been trying to figure out ways to move around more but it's still not much. I'll try the garage and stairs ideas…

That's great! I'm like you, it's so hard to eat out and not just say, "Forget it, it'll be fine today." I always thought that if I was splurging monetarily than I should just get what I wanted. A few weeks ago I chose not to do that while out and I was SO excited and proud of myself. At 36, it was a first for me :)…

I totally understand! I wish I had advice to offer, but I'm in the same boat. It's frustrating. But if you're like me, it will do NOTHING for a long time, then several pounds will come off suddenly, then back to nothing for a while. Try to remember this though, if you do nothing, you definitely aren't going to succeed. If…

I live just outside Raleigh and work in Raleigh (country living/better pay in the city.) We moved here 8 years ago from Oklahoma and love it. Keep in mind that I lived in Oklahoma, and Kansas, before that ;) Seriously though, I really do like it out here. I had to get used to the humidity and my new allergies since things…

I have no rhythm! I tried Zumba and was like, wow, how'd you move like that. LOL

In regards to the Fitbit, do you feel like it's as accurate as the Bodybugg?
-
Okay, I'm not sharing, but I am laughing. Thanks for that! LOL!

Okay, but that's just weird. And I've done some weird stuff to teach my kids over the years :) I think for my kids I want them to not thing McDonald's, or anything, is 'bad', or scare them about it because it's like he even said, it's just going to make them want it more. And dipping a Barbie in chocolate may work for my 5…
