You go girl. Fantastic!

Fantastic! You look beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos in another few months, and then a year from now--I think you will really be celebrating then!

Maybe he is afraid he would lose something more, you. Don't stop losing weight---reassure him that you love him but that you expect that he will support your health goals.

A toasted slice of Ezekial bread with almond butter and lots of water. I try to bring a snack along for after my workout too: thinly sliced apple, greek yogurt with some blueberries..... and lots of water.

Hi, I would say cut shakes, wheat, bananas [unless you live in a place where they grow], corn and potatoes--- Good carbs for me are: apples, sweet potatoes, gluten free bread [check to be sure it is not loaded with extra sugar and fat], lowfat Greek yogurt [again make sure it is not loaded with sugar]....... To me good…

Hang in there my friend. Don't wait for the kids to go to bed---walk with them, run while they bike [in a park where you can see them, let them bike circles around you], dance while they dance to a video workout, play on the playground. Older kids? Do they do track or sports? Walk while they are at their sport's practice.…

Oh please....30 marathons. I love my life, I'm in great shape---I have rarely met anyone who runs distance who is heavy. Being a runner is not a free pass to eat as much junk as you want, but I eat lots of healthy food and rarely am hungry. Run women, run!

Yes, this is a very common experience. If you go to the Runner's World online section with common questions you'll see it comes up a lot. Some people even get hives or a rash. I would suggest lots of water: before, during and after. And a shower immediately after---but you'll find lots of advice on Runner's World.

Wonderful! I know that "I just don't photograph well" excuse.

I think where you work can affect your weight. When I worked at a job that was nonstop crazy hours, crazy people with lots of junk food and no time for exercise---I gained weight. I was laid off [what a mercy] and ran into one of my former co-workers--a lovely woman who had gained a shocking 20 pounds in the year I was…

I've run 30 marathons. Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I began about 16 years ago. Shin splints---oh, I have suffered from them. Ouch. ONLY run on softer surfaces, that includes: dirt paths, asphalt roads, grass, a track---NEVER ever run on cement or bricks. Buy good shoes, once I realized that my shin…

Hi, I've run thousands of miles on wooded trails---met a mountain lion and some wild boars-but mostly I was safe. Here's what I suggest: 1) Run with a buddy or have someone ride a bike with you. 2) Always leave a note or tell someone where you are 3) Run with a phone [but check that it will work where you are going] 4) I…

It is different for everyone. I weigh myself every single morning right before my day gets going. I don't record my weight every day and expect a little variation. Why do I weigh myself every day? The first time I ever gained a lot of weight after 30 years of being "naturally skinny" was when I decided to throw away my…

Me too....my heart is broken. My legs still work.

Celebrate!

Hi, Hang in there. I'm on the injured list too and oh, I wish I could run---BUT--I focus on what I CAN do: swim, bike, walk slowly, Piilates, yoga, lift..... Good luck!

Wow! You look amazing! And I bet you feel a thousand times better. Go girl!

Here's how to do it: Start with walking, then run just 1 minute VERY SLOWLY, then walk 5 minutes. Switch back and forth, 5 walking, 1 minute slow running, 5 walking---15-20 minutes every other day for a week or two, then begin to do 4 minutes of walking, 2 running [SLOWLY--this means you should be able to talk, you should…

Move on my friend. Love yourself first. Lose weight and get in shape for yourself, for your future. Find someone who will love you, who is not so superficial. You can do it.

One day at a time friend. You can walk an extra ten minutes today. You can eat a salad. You can record your food in a diary. One step, you can do it.

Hi, Nothing to be afraid of. I take a daily pill and have been able to stay in shape using a sensible diet [high protein, lower carbs--about half of what MFP suggests] and lots of exercise. I had no idea I had a thyroid problem until my doctor told me--I was resistant to taking medication of any sort, but I feel so much…

My two cents: Healthy, organic foods are good for me in moderation. I feel better, look better and am healthier when I eat less: wheat, corn, potatoes and starchy carbs. Blueberries, apples and pears in moderation are worth the "carbs"--again, in moderation. I eat 2 fruits a day and as many vegetables [not including…

What a treat! Good luck continuing with your success.

My sympathies about the knee injury. I suffered an injury overtraining for my half marathon. I've been able to keep my weight down during my knee re-hab by swimming [or pool walking/running if you don't swim] and using the stationary bike. I do a lot of work on the computer but getting the exercise is critical and nothing…

PROTEIN early and often.Eat a high protein, low carb breakfast. Eat high protein snacks [hardboiled eggs, lean chicken, 12 almonds] throughout the day. Lots of water. Good luck!

Hi, I try to be gluten-free most of the time--BUT watch out for high sugar/fat content in some "gluten-free" items. Food manufacturers sometimes dump a lot of sugar/fat into these items. I hate that! A quick fix is to make your own "gluten-free" foods. Does eating gluten free help you lose weight---for me, it makes me…

Hi, I removed fruit from my sugar count. I eat blueberries [1/8 cup] and an apple every day. I think the benefits outweigh the negatives--all other sugar counts in my daily tab and I work hard to try to keep within my goals. It is a challenge but worth it. Good luck!

Hi, I have to respond to this as I hear it so often....yes, sometimes eating healthy costs more upfront. But in terms of nutrition and long-term health--it is a bargain. When you think of the costs of "junk calories" [those that have no redeeming value and actually damage the body] and nutritious calories [those that are…

Well done. Thank you for the beautiful post.

Congratulations on dealing with your stress/celebration with healthy food!
