DON'T add it to hot coffee - it gets all lumpy and nasty and you won't want to drink it. Ick.

This is a really great post. I know that for me, I have always been all or nothing when it comes to my health and nutrition. Finding the balance that I know is possible where I eat right is what I'm really working on right now. Getting to 1200 calories a day and not 3000 once I cross that threshold... it can be difficult,…

That sounds delicious! Thanks for the recipe

Fruits and vegetables are full of carbs though, so I don't think that's the real issue here. If it were me, I think I would be more at risk of binging from not being able to chew anything for a week! This definitely isn't the worst thing you can do for yourself, but you should probably find a way to incorporate protein…

 Definitely just had to have my chocolate granola bar after reading this. Looking at pictures of food always remind me of how hungry I suddenly am

The 100-cals of candy corn was really sad =(

What about liquid egg whites? They usually sell them in the refrigerator section next to the eggbeaters and real eggs.

I don't think they're going to kill Tara off yet... if they were going to kill her they wouldn't wait until the season finale IMO.

Definitely! I love love LOVE Eric from the book. I really don't like Alcide... especially later on in the books. But I still have a soft spot for Bill... I secretly hope he starts acting less like a pansy so Sookie will be interested again.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I can't wait to try some of these out

Having friends on here definitely makes it more interesting to be on MFP everyday! Feel free to add me

Yoga  Can't wait for my 4pm Yoga Sculpt class tonight!! It definitely beats the elliptical!

Yum!!! I've been on a huge homemade soup kick, and this sounds so delicious! Thanks for posting
-
It definitely can! This happened to me when I first started out when I was living at home and my mom would cook something for dinner and lie to me about there being meat in the recipe :grumble: But this doesn't happen within a month or two, more like a year or so.

Congrats on your decision =) I stopped eating read meat about 7 years ago and have been working on finding ways to cook for myself while still getting variety of protein in. One of my favorite things to use in recipes right now is chicken sausage. I cut it up and put in in stir fry vegetables, I use it in omelettes,…

How fun! My fiance and I have both put on weight since we've moved in together, I really like this incentive idea! I've really enjoyed doing hot yoga. It's low impact and I don't get bored with it the way I get bored with being on the tredmill for an hour! Feel free to add me and good luck!!

What about using a homemade Greek-yogurt based tzaziki sauce and modifying it so it's less thick? Yum yum yum!

I've been doing the Fast 5 (fast 19 hours, eat for 5). I LOVE it! I've already lost a couple pounds, and it makes it a lot easier to say no to grazing, which is my biggest nemesis. Hope you hsve luck with it!

When you're taller your body needs more calories to function - to figure out how much you should weigh they typically say you start at 100lbs and add 5lbs for each inch above 5'0" you are, so at 5'7" your ideal weight would be 135. Your body wants to be at a healthy weight, if that wasn't the case you would see people…

Thanks for the feedback, everyone  I started fast 5 last night/today - I'm super excited to see how it goes!

Ok, so I heard about intermittent fasting in another post yesterday and immediately ran to read "Eat Stop Eat." Now I'm working of "The Fast-Five" but I wanted to get some opinions on why people prefer a 19 hour vs 24 hour vs 16 hour fasting period? It seems as though the longer the better, and do you choose to do the…

Last October the movie "Zombie Strippers" came up... yes, it was as ridiculous as it sounds.

40% carbs, 30/30 protein/fat. It's more a goal than an achievement though... Just trying to get more protein in my diet to build up some more muscle. I think I read something from Jillian Michaels that suggested those ratios.
-
Maybe try adding some protein into your diet. I put whey protein in my smoothies. Also, it's better to mix things up and not have the same thing every day. Sticking to a strict daily diet plan typically doesn't work for very long because it's easy to get bored with it.

Pseudo-vegetarian here! (I only eat fish and poultry- odd combination, I know, but I wasn't able to get enough protein without adding poultry back in). feel free to add me =)

Does 5'10" count?! Goal is to get down to 145!
-
This sounds awesome! Jose Cuervo also has a zero calorie mix (you're supposed to just add tequilla). It's not bad. I'll have to try this though! Thanks

First of all, I absolutely love this show. However, I think sometimes some of the important things get lost in how they present what's actually happening. I was a little upset when I found out that Hannah and Olivia are both over 5'9" (Olivia is 5'10") -- they are really close to being considered underweight. Is anyone…

Haha apparently I don't know what I'm talking avout either!

I think you're confusing Irene with Haley...
