I'm so excited! I really hope Hannah wins, she's been my favorite from the beginning, but I agree with hwilliams519 that Olivia's probably going to win.

Since your burns aren't crazy 1000 calorie burns or anything like that, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Do you use a heart rate monitor to calculate your burns?

I noticed a significant change in the shape of my legs when I started doing yoga... it might help, but from most of what I've read there's not much you can do in terms of losing fat in specific areas  I really wish that wasn't the case!

I'm a big special k fan, especially with all of the new flavors they have (chocolate... Yum!) but even those aren't the best for you. Gotta stick to the plain stuff. Original cherrios aren't too bad either, but a little boring
-
Haha, for sure! They look like platform gym shoes. Just plain awkward. My old roommate used to affectionately referred to these as "mandals".

Worse when clear straps are used. Yuck! I don't know why they bother me so much but I can't stand when I see people with clear straps-- WE CAN STILL SEE YOUR BRA STRAPS! YOU'RE NOT FOOLING ANYBODY! INVEST IN SOMETHING STRAPLESS!

Sounds delicious! Cheers! :drinker: Haha

I just realized that no one would be very surprised by my opinion on this based on my profile pic, haha

I really enjoy a glass or two of wine, especially in social situations. I've found myself finding it easier to limit myself to 1 or 2 glasses instead of maybe 3 or 4 now that i'm tracking what I'm eating so closely, but I don't think I'd ever consider giving it up. I enjoy wine too much haha:drinker:

Is this your net? Or your total food intake?

Great job so far!! Feel free to add me =)

It's really interesting hearing about everyone's different sizes with height/weight combinations! I'm 5'10" and currently 157, and I'm in a 6 or 8. I had gotten down to a 4 when I was in the 135-140 range, which was unmaintainable. I'd like to just be a solid 6, especially in jeans. My shoe size is the worst though --…

bumping for later!

I love love love yoga! It's replaced my strength training and I'm noticing a difference. You just have to keep pushing yourself with it. Good luck

Super yummy!!!

Hello & welcome =) I'm 21- feel free to add me! Good luck on your journey, we're all here to help you through it!

Yummy! Rum with anything is delicious... :drinker:

Avoid the margaritas! so much sugar it's scary. Sangria's nice because it's mostly wine, but it can get pretty high on the calories too. I like to stick to rum and diet coke... but it gets old after a while.
-
HOLY COW! I never looked at my sugar intake before and didn't realize how way over I'm going... not sure if I'm going to bother adjusting in though since it's all from fruits and vegetables...

Special K bars now come in raspberry cheesecake. Seriously. Or I like 100 cal fudge bars. And animal crackers. (these aren't actually that good for you, but I like to pretend since they look so innocent.)

My dad always used to make comments about my "belly" since I hold most of my weight there instead of it spreading out everywhere. When I was 18 I dropped about 30lbs and had pretty much stopped eating, he thought it was a good idea to stop teasing me. Haven't heard a thing about it since, even though I've gained about 20…

How many hours are you usually working out? From what I've read if it's for an extended period, you don't need to eat back all the "extra" ones because even if you were sitting on the couch for 3 hours, your body would burn SOME calories.
-
I agree - I don't usually eat ALL of mine back, but it's definitely good to eat SOME back. I've tried eating them all back and find myself using junk food to fill up the calories, which I think is much worse than just being satisfied with SOME exercise calories.

I agree -- light exercise during TOM works for me. I bump the resistance down on the elliptical and just go a little slower. At first it's uncomfortable but I feel better at the end of it. And birth control is the most wonderful thing ever. Makes dealing with TOM so much easier and less annoying.
-
I would say 1/2. Especially since it's not on-going (i.e. 4 hours continuously) because your heart rate will have time to come back down. Also, consider what your BMR is for 3 hours and you can subtract those from what MFP says your burning -- if you were sitting on the couch for that long you would still be burning…

I gain 1.4lbs this weekend but I'm thinking it's because I'm coming up on TOM... not sure if I should use today's number as my weigh in (158.6) or Friday's (157.2) -- what do you guys think? 4/29 - 157.2 5/02 - 158.6
-
I've heard that before, but I have no idea how true it is. It's yummy though! So since it *might* be helping, I make sure to sprinkle a little extra into my coffee in the morning

Bump - I'm interested too if anyone has this information. I don't know that I trust the whole "fruits and veggies have zero points" thing. Seems like an easy way to go overboard.
-
As long as it feels like exercise, but for me I put sedentary because I work at a desk all day but I walk a mile each day to and from work- I consider it "bonus exercise" and don't log it. Your call though, do whatever is helping you get the weight off! Forme it's having un-counted exercise as well as the stuff I do at the…

Let's do it! I'm so excited! I'm hoping to get at least 7 down (mini-goal!) Not stoked about the Sunday weigh ins (since Saturday is usually a bad day!) but it will keep me on track for the weekends.
