Truly inspirational!! Thanks for sharing and congratulations on never giving up!

I don't use more than a tbsp per day. Use for frying eggs, veggies etc

I use organic hemp protein powder in my morning "nutriblast". http://www.squidoo.com/health-benefits-of-hemp-protein

Eggs are a great source of protein. I don't eat red meat anymore, and eggs are a big part of my diet. They are filling as well. I have also eliminated a lot of processed food which saves lots of $$. Shop the outer perimeter of the store---produce, seafood, meat, dairy. The stores I shop in have reduced produce daily, so I…

Hi-I'm Linda, 55, feeling more like 25 every day! I've been on MFP since Dec 31, 2012. Good luck on your journey. Feel free to add me :)

I bought them on sale at whole foods---wasn't that impressed. I still have one pkg left

I've been doing primal for a little while now. I'm feeling so much better, great amount of energy. I'm glad you visited Mark's daily apple. Did you get all the freebies (e-books) from the site. There is tons of info out there but I feel Mark Sisson can get you going in the right direction with the eating, fitness (playing)…

I am so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. May your memories and love sustain you through the difficult times ahead. I lost my dad in 1990, but more recently, my husband in 2011. Take care and may you, your family and friends be there for one another. Also, best of luck on your journey here on MFP.

As long as you feel satisfied with what you are eating. I would maybe keep an eye on the sodium as you are eating processed foods. But all in all, good choices. Good for you for cutting down on the portion sizes!!
-
Not afraid at all - raw cashews, almonds, coconut oil, olive oil etc. are enjoyed on a daily basis
-
Chocolate, cookies, cakes, ice cream. Bread used to be on that list but I gave up wheat in December - those cravings are gone, thankfully! Salty foods don't interest me, but they pay my bills - I work for Frito Lay!!
-
There are tons of workouts on youtube - I use them quite often. You should be able to find something you like without having to buy it.
-
I prefer coconut milk, but usually get what's on sale or what I might have a coupon for - can get a bit pricey otherwise.

Make some small changes. Maybe make 1/2 of your plate veggies. Cut down or eliminate processed foods. Take a 10 minute walk, or when commercials come on, get up and march in place, do squats, e.g. Shop the perimeter only of the grocery store. This is going to be a lifestyle change, not a temporary change just to lose…

I am always over on my fats since I think it's important to have healthy fats every day---coconut oil and olive oil for example. I don't eat wheat any longer, so I usually have nuts and dairy for snacks and part of my meals. I have recently upped my calories, and I've been going by that more than anything. I am not looking…

Hi, my name is Linda and I live in Connecticut. I am 55 years old and joined MFP on 12/31/12. I lost my husband in March of 2011 after a 3 year illness. The last year of his life was rough as he was close to being bedridden and needed lots of care. It was difficult, but I did it because I loved him and he needed me. And…

Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter.....have to have one of these in the house at all times. I unfortunately have a problem with portion control every now and then, but it is worth it!!
-
Hi! My name is Linda and I sent you a request. 55 and post menopausal.
-
Altoids or tic tacs. Extra nibbles when tasting while cooking or putting away leftovers.
-
I eliminated wheat from my diet mid December. I feel so much better. I did read Dr. Davis' Wheat Belly book too. I will send you a friend request. I joined MFP 12/31/12 and I love the site.
-
Let me clarify that by saying - You made me look at your post!
-
LOL--You made me look!:blushing:
-
I use it every day - best fat for you. I joined 12/31/12 and I've lost every week.
-
It wasn't a bad thing you did, don't feel guilty about it. Tomorrow is another day.
-
I've removed many things from my "diet". I no longer eat red meat, whole wheat, cut down tremendously on processed foods. I was a lean cuisine, healthy choice addict, so my salt intake has dramatically decreased. I've increased my veggie intake, eat nuts every day and other good fats. But I think the food diary is a great…

I definitely don't eat under my BMR and I've set up my daily goals at -20% TDEE. Sometimes I eat back exercise calories, sometimes not. I'm just trying to stay within a certain range. Good luck to you
-
Congrats! Keep up the great work :)

Welcome!! I joined on New Year's Eve and am so glad I did! I'm sure you will find much help and support here. Feel free to add me if you'd like. Best of luck on your journey - I'm sure you'll be here awhile :)

I love MFP. I still go to fb to play a few games, but I find myself here more and more. I have more reasons to be here
