I like flavored sparkling water, too. And no, it's not artificially sweetened. It's not sweetened at all, just lightly flavored with lime or something similar. La Croix is my go-to brand.

I'm short, and I eat around that much. I've switched to more intuitive eating instead of planning everything around my calorie limit, and I end up eating about 1200 a day. After playing around with different caloric allowances and eating plans, this is successful for me. Eating 1200 is a very, very controversial topic…

Are you tracking every single calorie? Are you measuring your food? It's very difficult to accurately estimate portions without weighing food, and those extra few calories at each meal add up fast. Get a small food scale and measure everything you put into your mouth. A heart rate monitor can help accurately measure how…

Most grocery store eggs aren't pasteurized, either. Unless you are specifically purchasing that kind (usually sold in cartons as a liquid) at your grocery store, there isn't a difference - except in flavor and freshness, of course.

The Paraguard IUD is a copper IUD and is not hormonal, so it doesn't alter hormones. Do you maybe mean the Mirena, which is a hormonal IUD?

Don't give up. It sounds obvious, but if you fall off the wagon for a day, a week, or even a month, get back on.

It's flavorful, but the lemon and cucumber are also somewhat astringent, washing food residue from the mouth. I've read that removing the residue of fats from the tongue can help reduce cravings for more food. Can't hurt!

I have started juicing, too. I bought a really cheap juicer to experiment. I'm not doing a total juice fast, but the juices are working well as a nutritious meal replacement drink for me part time.

The Mirena is a much lower dose of hormones than the pill, because it's localized. For me, the side effects of the pill were severe nausea the first week, vomiting the first two days of the cycle, and acne. I also had trouble taking it at the same time every day. With the Mirena I have no periods, no cramps, no acne, and…

Adding things like peanut butter, avocado, olive oil, or a little butter to foods, or having a handful of walnuts or almonds can up calories pretty quickly.

I found that while I was hungrier when I was still nursing, it was much easier to to lose once it was over. Breastfeeding burns a lot of calories, but it can also make some women's bodies reluctant to let go of weight. Other factors as a new mom: not having time or energy to make sure you're eating healthy food, eating…

Eating a keto diet, with fewer than 20 grams of crabs a day and high fat percentage, can make for very fast weight loss. The appetite decreases significantly on this kind of diet once full ketosis sets in. The body starts processing fat stores for energy and does not feel hunger very often. So - feeling satisfied with…

Are you measuring food accurately? Using a digital food scale can help calorie counting be more accurate.

I don't. It's none of my business what other people eat. I know that I wouldn't want anyone preaching to me about my food choices, either, unless I ask.

I love her workout dvds. They work well for me. I'm not watching them for her endorsements or character flaws, whatever those may be. She is like any other tv personality and her goal is to make a profit and to brand herself. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't really have any thoughts on her, because the only…

When a side effect of weight gain is listed on birth control pills, you'll often find that the official finding are averages of less than five pounds a year. Ask your doctor about the actual weight gain risk.

I started out with a massive sugar addiction. I felt like I needed chocolate or dessert to get through the day. What worked for me was going cold turkey. For a couple of weeks I did no refined starches, no sugar, no desserts. I even stopped eating fruit for a few days in the beginning. Once I got through three or four days…

I'm going to reserve a few hundred calories, but I'm also going to make sure the dishes I bring are things I can eat without worry, and I'll figure out how many of each item I can have beforehand.

No one is asking you to do so. Gosh, you guys are all brutal. Chill out!

I'm 5'4" and my goal is 120.

I love my Mirena. I have no periods and don't have to think about it at all.

After my pregnancy I developed gallstones out of the blue. I was fine one day, and the next day I was crying in pain, doubled over. My gallbladder was removed a week later. For me it was much better to have it out than try to deal with the attacks. I avoided fat for about six months but now I eat normally with no problems.

I think that "fat shaming" makes people feel worthless and hated. I think that weight loss can happen successfully when people feel valued and have self-worth. Teaching healthy habits from a young age is effective, but insulting those who are already overweight is just rude and hurtful.

As a snack I often have 1/4 cup of almonds - very healthy and they take a while to chew and eat. For a serious low carb snack, look up cheese chips. They're basically little piles of shredded cheese baked in the oven until they're thin and crispy. You can use any kind of cheese. A snack a lot of my low carb friends have is…

Are you drinking lots of water? Have you recently cut your caffeine intake?

The copper IUD, Paraguard, is not hormonal and, as such, does not have the weight gain side effect. It is sometimes associated with heavier bleeding, though. I have a Mirena and have gained a lot of weight since I got it. I'm not sure if it's because of the IUD or because of my habits. I'm considering having it removed,…

I'm just starting out, but I'd love to be a part of this group goal.

I don't know, either! I'm 5'4" and I feel average.
