I am having a smiliar problem - I don't care as much about my food log making it to Garmin Connect but I can't get my step count in Garmin Connect to show as exercise calories in MFP.

We have a 2yr old lab/greyhoundish mix and she's the best running/walking partner ever. We walk every morning after walking my son to school and we've got a running belt so I can clip her leash in. She's done several races with me - everything from a 5K up to a half marathon. When I would take a walking break during the…

I usually slice up any meat leftover from last night's dinner, heat it, top it with cheese and a dressing of some sort. Add lettuce/spinach if I have it.

That looks amazing. We love reubens. I'll have to give this a try!

Have you been fitted for proper shoes at a running store? Wearing the wrong shoes can contribute to a new injury or exacerbate an old one. If the pain is similar to what you were experiencing when you were diagnosed with the injury, you should see the Dr again.

Agreed. Stick with the training plan as you're running it now. You could also try using run/walk intervals - maybe 3-1 or 5-2.

There are 2 ways to improve your 5K time, and both help. Run further and run faster. Further - push your distance until you can comfortably run 4 or even 5 miles. 3 will seem easier. Faster - Re-do C25K focusing on speed rather than just completing the time. Esp the first few weeks, you can almost run them like sprint…

Kerrygold butter. I love the way it tastes.

I am on an 11 day streak of getting over 10,000 steps on my FitBit.

C25K is wonderful. Depending on what kind of phone you have, you can even download apps to time the segments for you. 2yrs ago, I used it to get back into running and eventually trained and ran a couple of half marathons.

I have noticed that if I go for a run or a walk, then Fitbit will automatically transport that over into MFP as "calorie adjustment". I don't bother logging it since it's already tracked. If this link works, that Fitbit adjustment showed up automatically when I synced -…

I am in both camps - YES, you can totally do a 10k, but you might WANT to do a small, local 5k first, just to get a sense of race day. Personal preference.

No, I don't. Chances are, if I'm going for a run long enough to necessitate fuel along the way, I'm not going to eat back ALL of those calories anyway.
-
Aha. This must be why my run got double logged today. Once from MFP and once from Garmin Connect...

I have found that the run where I had the most energy and stamina was a 6mi run after I'd been eating Paleo for 2wks. In retrospect, it probably wasn't the Paleo itself, just overall nutritious breakfast - mix of protein and veggies at every meal. Including breakfast, which I usually skip! Before a 10K race, I usually have…

There is nothing wrong with taking walking breaks during running. I have done countless 5Ks, a couple 10 Milers and a half marathon, with another 10 miler and half marathon over the next month. I take walk breaks. I find that when I run, I have a pace I am comfortable running...only I can't sustain it for a ten mile run.…

I don't know about a mix from Sam's but I've been making them from scratch for years. Maybe these instructions will help - http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Recipes/top-secret-restaurant-recipes-red-lobsters-cheddar-biscuits/story?id=2788706
