I think this varies wildly. I have very strong abs as I have been belly dancing for a few years and I put on muscle fairly easily. I am 32F and a UK 12 (US 8). I used to be 32F and UK 10 (US 6) I just embrace it. Certain shops are better than others. And I have a friend that can sew who takes things in at the waist for me. You can also be inventive with layering which allows you to wear some dresses open (this doesn’t always work so try it on.)

I am an editor and this annoys my inner pedant too but I keep it to myself because I know I am being ridiculous. In colloquial writing (such as on an internet forum) people will use words and phrases that they wouldn't in formal writing. As long as people understand it doesn't really matter.

I find green tea makes me feel really sick if I drink it on an empty stomach. I looked it up and it's because it produces a chemical that begins with p in your stomach that can irritate your stomach lining. Maybe Earl Grey has a similar effect.

I eat back mine normally but I was in your situation last week where I burned about 900 calories and I found it impossible to eat them all back. I think the most obvious thing is that you are not in a calorie deficit. Are you sticking to eating lower calories? Are you weighing food or just guessing? Are you noting everything you put in your mouth?

I am 5 foot 4. I started at 170 and my first goal is 150. Depending on how I look and feel then I might try for 140. I am currently a Uk 12, occasionally a 14 (which I think is US 8-10?) and I would like to be a UK 10.

Thanks - I have one more question. I am starting this tomorrow and trying to find it on youtube. I know there are 3 levels. Is the idea that you repeat level 1 over 10 days and then move onto level 2. Or is there a particular workout for each day? I am a bit scared of this!

I aim for 1200 net but try to do some exercise (even if I am just getting of the tube a stop or 2 early and walking for 20 minutes) every day. Crabsticks - no one else likes them but I love them Cottage cheese over a cut up apple. I used to eat that as dessert before I was even dieting - its so nice but people look at you weird if you eat it in public Raw cabbage - it's really good but gives you wind if you go over board.

I LOVE Mexican food. Personally I would have a buritto smothered in cheese and sour cream. I would log the calories honestly and would head to the swimming pool and swim for 2 hours / do a water aerobic class until I had burnt the calories.

I think I am unusual in that I love having thicker thighs. I think that as long as they are muscle and don;t have cellulite that think thighs with a small waist and flat stomach looks amazing. It'w what I am aiming for!

Try eating berries and kiwi fruits. They have less sugar in than other fruits.

Yeah, it makes me feel like I am doing something right. I think it's got more to do with the fact that I drank a lot of wine in December which made me retain water and go puffy and it's this going down rather than fat loss but it's still nice.

Surely a thigh gap would be at least, if not more, dependant on the width of your hips than the size of your thighs.
