Thanks for the advice guys. Would I be able to get these Calipers at a store like Walmart or Target? I have never even hear of them, but I will look them up. The scale I use used to say I was 30% BF (which is obese), and I wasn't even that heavy. A little out of shape ya, but not overweight. So I already knew it had a…

Thanks. I actually have heard that before, but doesn't it cost money to get that done? I'd rather use the scale I have even if it isn't the most accurate reading. I'm sure it's not too far off anyway

Well if that's you in your profile picture, I'd say you already have it

I'm speaking from my personal experience. Everyone is different and I imagine everyone losing weight/build muscle differently as will.

The trick is to pack on the weight, and then turn the fat you develop into muscle. Strength training for you at the moment would probably not be the best idea because it is significantly harder to build up your muscles from nothing. Do a good amount of cardio, and eat a lot of foods with fats and carbs (not trans fat…

I don't really ever tend to "emotionally eat". I don't really ever get upset or anything that would perhaps tempt me to eat based on an external factor. The one thing I do have a problem with at times is eating at night because I'm restless and can't sleep. That one's tough although I have cut back on it tremendously. If I…

I just started Muay Thai myself. A couple things I have noticed after two classes are: you need to have a good amount of stamina and be able to work out for the duration of the class with very little rest, and that Muay Thai emphasizes the use of the elbows and knees. If used right these attacks can be deadly; if used…

The advantage lightweight fighters have istheir speed and agility, not to mention flexibility if they train right. In Bruce Lee's case, the fact that he was a relatively small guy (5"7, 157 pounds I believe) didn't really matter. He had virtually no body fat and had lightning fast reflexes. It was Bruce Lee's quickness,…

Generally for me, a ninety minute class burns a little more than 800 calories although it depends on the work out we do that day. Obviously a kata day would be less intense than a sparring day

I study Uechi-ryu karate and Muay Thai as of recently.
