48 Hour Hollywood Cleanse

I'm doing the cleanse to start my healthy eating diet. I just saw a movie, Mortal Instruments, last night and seeing Lilly Collins made me want to get back down to 120 pounds! What do you think? Good OR bad?

To cleanse or not to cleanse? That is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of non-specific toxins
Or to take arms against a sea of imagined bowel obstructions
And by opposing, perforate one's colon. To juice; to detox;
No more; and by a detox to say we end
The pH and the balance of intestinal flora
That guts are heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be avoided. To juice; to detox;
To detox: perchance to puke: aye, there's the rub;
For in the pangs of indigestion what side-effects may come
When we go and leave our undies soiled.

It's kinda like punching yourself in the face to kickstart your lifting routine.

Cleanses are at best ineffective and at worst harmful. Best to steer clear. There is nothing that is going to be removed by a cleanse other than water. Your body is capable of cleaning itself out. Save yourself the discomfort and just eat at a healthy deficit instead.

The efficacy of "cleansing" is, amazingly, still hotly debated. Just drink water and stay away from processed foods. Slow and steady wins the race not trendy miracle diets.

Edit: Editorial added.

A "hot debate" implies that both sides have a good argument

The best 48 Hour Hollywood Cleanse involves turning off the documentaries, and actually reading peer reviewed studies on nutrition, or taking the shortcut, reading articles from knowledgable and experienced professionals.

Damn. That's beautiful :cry:
• It's literally just the juice and water for 48 hours and only turns up to be around a measly 500 calories per day. I don't know about you, but that's a load of bs. Of course you'll lose weight during that time, but it will just be water weight and will balloon back once you eat a normal, sustainable diet.

What everyone is tryyyyyying to say is that cleanses are a load of *kitten* :laugh:
Eat healthy food and exercise for a few days and you'll feel 10x better than you would on some faddy 'cleanse'
Also, evolution kind've sorted us out when it comes to our bodies 'cleansing' themselves of 'toxins' etc. Nature has that part down. Now just decide to take care of your body by not starving it after reading some sensationalist nonsense about what the celebz do.

Good luck :smile:

read this article about the cleanse. Though this may not be what the fruitcakes in Hollyweird are doing.
As most of the others have been saying they are BAD! and I mean that in the old fashioned, original meaning of the word.
Though after that many visits to the bathroom you probably will have a "bad @$$".
